Just finished this project tonight so my review is based on what I think will be the long term outcome. The metal isn’t the same thickness or strength you will find on real gas pipes at a big box, but they also aren’t overly cheap pot metal that with easily break or crack. Will do the job. Installation was pretty straight forward and you really need is a 4 foot level, a pencil, a stud finder, and a cordless drill/driver.My installation was in the basement and the studs are 24 inch on center versus the standard 16 inches. Non issue. I screwed 4 of the pipe brackets directly into studs, and for the 5th one I used the supplied anchors. I included a picture of the anchors as these are the better quality type I prefer to use. I will say, as a general rule, I would not recommend using anchors only for an entire shelf install unless you intend to put lighter and non breakable items on it. One of the reasons I chose these particular pipe shelves was because the base you screw to the wall has 4 holes versus some others that only have 3. This allows you to easily align two of the holes directly over a stud. I happened to have some two and half inch screws handy so I used them in all of the top holes(just because) and used the supplied one and half inch screws for the bottom holes. Since I had 2 screws in a stud, I just treated the other holes as “cosmetic” and just screwed straight into the Sheetrock for a finished look. Once I had all the stud pipes installed, I grabbed two pipes at a time near the plate that was screwed into the wall as was literally able to hang off the them. I weigh 195 pounds. I wouldn’t recommend doing that test on the end of the pipes furthest from the wall simply because that’s not where all the weight is designed to be and I feel you would damage the pipe.Only minor issue that I agree with others about is that the supplied U claps that secure the pipe to the board are silver in color. Not a good look that cheapens the final product/. I didn’t deduct any stars because it literally took me about 15 seconds to spray paint them black and I already had the paint.Short version, easy install, not cheap looking, decent quality, and should be hanging up there as long I want them with no issues.

As advertised. These are the real deal “industrial pipe” being used for home decor. They look great and authentic with my decor in my home. Black pipe and fittings. Complete set that you can probably buy at any hardware store but everything you need is here and ready for you saving the hassle. Anchors are the easy to use screw in type. Very sturdy. Overall, great product for the price and fast shipping. Much cheaper than Home Depot after adding in all the parts that LASIDO includes

I really like these. I have achieved the look I was aiming for and my shelves look nice. Just a few things. I purchased two packs, as I needed 8 brackets for my project and wanted to have 4 left over for another project. This allowed me to interchange the wall plates that had crooked threading. Just make sure you pay attention to that before you install it to the wall so you can flip it in a way that doesn't interfere with the levelness of the shelf. I spent a lot of time leveling out everything and this I missed. So it can be a matter of just turning the plate so the pipe tilts right. Only one out of all 12 was a big off. I ended up just not using that one. Also, find your studs. I have one pair that didn't get in a stud because of the configuration and those anchors are trash. Out of the 8 anchors I used, nearly all of them split in my wall and I had to dig them out and try again. I feel like one needs to come out all the way and I need to turn the plate. But the others in the studs are great. I made sure the top and bottom holes lined up with the studs and the side ones were just for show. If you plan to put more weight on it than I did, you should anchor those too. But other than the anchored brackets, it was very easy to install. It took me more time to prepare and level and stain my shelves than it did to install the brackets. My shelves caused problems for me. I was more worried about the wood grain on the shelves than if they were warped so I had some trouble making sure they butted up, as I made L shaped shelves. And these are the 12" pipes, after you screw them into the plates and add on the cap, a 12" board, which is only like 11.5", will not fit flat. So you will either need to get a 10" board or rip it smaller. Just get a 10" so its straight. I was stubborn and determined the 12" would work. Its fine, but I would of preferred 10".

Great shelf stand and supports 2 of my 10 foot shelves well with items. Only fripe is that the drywall anchors that are included are not the sturdiest and are not able to take too much twisting force without splitting.

Came with 6 pieces of pipe, 6 flanges, 6 end caps, 6 pipe straps and all the screws with wall anchors. I didn’t use the wall anchors and purchased higher quality wall anchors. The few we tried to use just tore up the drywall too much. Maybe bc we have 5/8 Sheetrock.These aren’t normal black gas pipe you would purchase at a hardware store. These are much lighter in weight, painted black and does it’s intended purpose. Having them already painted gloss black saved me a step. They are easy to assemble.Taking precise measurements and laying out marks on the wall precisely will make it good much smoother.We used 2 pieces of 3/4 birch plywood nailed together for each shelf

I like the ease with which these go up. And I especially like that I can make a shelf as long or short as I want. I’d suggest added a standard template for one or two basic shelf lengths to fill out the package. I’ve already bought more and will likely do so again.Thanks
