Standard Mouth Flip Handle Lid

The cap functions as you'd expect. Pouring water slowly from the cap doesn't cause it to trail for me along it's side, which is great. If I could improve the cap, I'd add a feature to lock it from opening. Some minor complaints are that I wish the button stuck out a little more (or was bigger) so it'd be easier to press and you need to press down on the cap "relatively hard" for it to lock closed; but it's comparable to other button to open caps I have. Also, if you intentionally try to press down the lid slowly to not fully be closed that it's possible (where it can accidentally open easily since not fully closed; but closing it normally wouldn't cause this to happen realistically as you'd need to press the cap relatively hard to have it be closed). I can't speak for durability yet, but one note is that the mechanism that makes the cap flip out / open automatically is a silicone ring. So if it somehow breaks, even if you had a replacement silicone ring, you wouldn't be able to install it as the metal rod at the hinge is pretty securely in place. The carrying loop seems durable enough to use to carry the bottle. But it's plastic, so it can break given a hard enough impact given it's relative thinness. I haven't found a comparable alternative cap for the type of bottle this cap fits, so it's the best quick access cap out there I could find. Overall, I'd recommend the cap if you want a quick access cap, are okay with no ability to lock the cap from accidental button presses, are okay with a 1.7mm x 0.65mm button, and don't mind pressing relatively hard to close the cap securely (so it doesn't accidentally half close & flip open).

I've been using Klean Kanteens for 12 years, and suffering with their inferior caps (either the screw-on version, or the sport top - which is leak-proof, but the mouthpiece is exposed all the time!). I even wrote to Klean Kanteen many years ago and asked if they would make a flip-top cap (they wrote back and told me it was "in development" - like five years ago). I really didn't want to switch to a different brand of bottles, because we have a family's worth of KK's in various sizes, and because the bottles themselves are fantastic. But I REALLY wanted a flip-top cap. Voila! My bestie told me about this beauty and I immediately ordered one. My only complaint is that it doesn't lock (Nalgene On-the-Fly, I'm lookin' at you!!!). However, I've been using it for a few weeks now and it hasn't popped open accidentally yet. That said, I'm careful never to place it in a bag where there are electronics or other water-sensitive items. To wash, I put the cap in the top rack of the dishwasher. I open it and then place the mouth opening, upside-down, over one of the spires of the rack. It stays in place throughout the cycle, no water pools anywhere in the cap, and even the area under the silicone gasket dries quickly. EASY-PEASY makes this mama HAPPY! I wish I could give this 9 stars (10 if it locked!). I'm definitely going to buy more for the rest of the family so we can all enjoy these fabulous, easy-to-keep-clean caps!

This flip top lid fits my Hydroflask perfectly and allows me to drink without water splashing my face. The lid does not leak and I like the handy ring top for easy carrying on a finger when my hands are full. Also, no straw to have to clean.

I am new to Hydroflask. I got bit by the must have a Hydroflask water bottle, as I'm in my car all day so drink plenty of water. Loving my Hydroflask so far, though I think it's more stylish than actually BETTER? than a Coleman for example which speaking of drinking caps, is the absolute winner!! In any case so Hydroflask, you either get the crappy sports cap..or suck out of a straw or keep unscrewing the cap..which is not acceptable while I drive. Long story short this Bottlebottle cap seems ingenious for Hydroflask, and I hear it works with other brands too. It does NOT leak....I don't really notice it's not insulated, easy to clean..no gunk,..my water stays cold for hours and hours. I took off one star cause mine came without the O ring that makes the lid spring back and stay open. The lid still works, though I will be exchanging it for a new one that hopefully HAS the o ring. Speaking of...seems the o ring may not last a long time from reviews I read,. I hope THEY can improve that....otherwise this is a SUPER idea for Hydroflask...it fits perfectly...and even without the O ring it still works great, other than I have to manually open the cap after I click the button. It would gain a star if it could be insulated....just in case you need that extra confidence. Overall though a GREAT idea....and wish they could improve that O ring..haha in my case at least INCLUDE one...

Fits good. It is practical.

This product greatly facilitates drinking, particularly when you are in a hurry or on the move. I highly recommend it.

Was looking for a top for hydro flask bottle that was not a straw. This is perfect. Easy to clean and no leaking. Works perfectly. Would buy again.

great product. I use it at night, and it keeps my drink cold and leak proof. Much easier to use with a flip up lid in the dark. veryimpressed.
