Great book, beautifully written.

A great translation of Plutarch into English. An interesting account of not only the character of Alexander but of other historical figures as well, including Demosthenes, the most famous orator of the ancient world.

Excellent study of people; life, love, ambitions and death. A good insight into "know thy self". Recommend reading for anyone interested in self improvement.

Gotta love Plutarch. This is a great copy, though I'm still holding out for when all of Plutarch's lives are published in conjunction in one volume.

This ebook is a good read, great for reference and easy to cite in Chicago Style. Overall a wise investment.

Expected a little more on the Alexander himself, but enjoyed the book nevertheless.

Poor paper quality. I was not expecting it from Penguin. Disappointed.
