The HYOUJIN616 Black Carbon comb is similar to the hard rubber combs I remember from 50 years ago, except the comb’s finish is a dull black color instead of a bright black. I used hard rubber combs in my youth, and I have started using them since I retired from the uniformed services. I bought from Amazon a stiff rubber comb that was quite similar to those from 50 years ago, but the manufacturer was a different company. I compared this comb and the other. As I mentioned earlier, the only difference was in the finish of the comb. I have a 2 inch Afro, and this comb goes through tangles so that it neither damages my hair nor scalp. I ordered a second comb after my wife took mine. You will probably lose this comb (if you carry it in your back pocket) before you can break it. This comb does not have the snob appeal that the bright, finished, more expensive hard rubber combs have. I recommend this comb because of the cost, durability, and ability to work well with African-American hair.

I like that it is really durable, but tbh I wasn’t expending the handle to be so short lol. But that’s my fault for not looking at the size. If you don’t mind that, I 100% recommend

You get a good comb for a more than fair price. Very thick teeth. Will not break on you.

I have very thick, long, smooth, straight hair. This comb (it's the narrow toothed version with a handle) glides through very nicely and has an interesting matte surface texture that feels good on my hair and scalp. I was hesitant to spend $6 on a single comb but I'm so pleased with it that I ordered a second so I have one to use on clean hair, and another for combing in oil treatments and the like (it rinses well so one would be enough, but now I also have an extra in case one breaks). The teeth are a good distance apart for regular multi-purpose combing on my hair texture, long enough for thick hair, and don't have any hidden rough snaggly bits that poorly molded plastic combs often have. I also ordered the pin tail comb, wide tooth comb, and detangling comb. They're all very good but this is the best one, hands down.

I love this comb so much! I have thick, curly 2c/3a hair and this comb is amazing for me. I bought a comb in the past and the edges were sharp and not smoothed out. So I was so happy with this comb because it is so sturdy, smooth and helps me evenly distribute product in my hair. I totally reccomend this comb, especially for people with curly hair who are looking for a wide toothed comb.
