Our Dyson DC07 Animal was purchased in 2005, and I've kept it around all these years because it still works great and is built way better than the newer models that Dyson puts out. It feels substantial, which is more than I can say for the awful DC65 we purchased about 10 years ago.Recently, I started to experience trouble with the power on the DC07 Animal. When the power switch was pressed, it would turn on and then immediately shut off once I removed my finger from the button. I could still use the vacuum but needed to keep the power button pressed down with a finger the entire time, which was really impractical.After doing a bit of research, I decided to replace the power switch. The item I received was just as pictured, and it arrived in a Dyson OEM small envelope. It was very easy to pop it right in. The most difficult time I had was getting the power switch cover off, and then back on again, which really has nothing to do with the switch itself.Overall, this switch works great and I’m hoping it will hold up for many years to come. I highly recommend the product being offered by seller BuyParts and can attest it’s a genuine part.

OEM and easy to replace original when it no longer will stay in the detent position. Love Dysons because it seems you can keep them working like new with parts from Amazon almost forever. Ours is over 12 years old. Have replaced the belt/clutch assembly and now the power switch. Works just like new. Rotating brush is good for now but likely the next thing to replace.

My DC25 wouldn't run the brush unless I pushed and held the brush button on. Took it apart and found the switch appears to have over heated.Ordered this switch and put it in the vacuum. It fit perfectly and fixed my problem.
