FINALLY a product that works to remove hard water stains on glass!!
SUMMARY:Makes a mess and takes a bit of time, but WORKS VERY WELL to remove light scratches and hard water stains on glass.EXPLANATION:My Tenants never cleaned and never put salt in the water softener. This left me with horrible hard water stains on my glass shower doors. I tried every cleaning product I own in an attempt to remove the stains. I even tried 5000 grit sand paper (which worked, but took a LONG time and left light scratches). A friend recommended a slightly abrasive cleaner (I won't mention the name), which removed the hard water stains, but left VERY visible, but light, scratches on the glass (fortunately, I only used it on a 1ft square area). At this point, my focus was to get rid of the scratches, which looked much worse than the hard water spots. After some research, I found some videos showing people removing scratches using Cerium Oxide. I decided to give it a try since, at this point, I pretty-much ruined my shower doors.Using a cordless drill and a 3" diameter Felt pad attachment, I worked on the scratched area for about 30 minutes. It made a big mess, but IT WORKED, the scratches are GONE! Now that the worst problem was solved, I moved onto the hard water stains. It worked perfectly, in fact it's much easier (takes less time) to buff out the hard water stains. Cleaning up the mess actually takes longer than buffing out the stains.Overall I'm extremely pleased. I had almost given up on fixing my shower doors. If it hadn't been for the scratches left by the previous cleaner, I never would have searched for (and found) Cerium Oxide. In an attempt to show you what it does on the hard water stains, I took a series of photos (attached). Notice the hard water stains below the word "BEFORE". It took less than 5 minutes to buff them out. It's difficult to get good pictures (I had to work quickly, while the sun was hitting that particular area), but I hope you can see that it looks much better now.I wish I had found Cerium Oxide months ago, it would have avoided a lot of frustration and wasted time. I hope you find similar success.

Works like a champ but goes from solid to too liquidity almost instantly
Used this to fix a few scratches I put in my car windshield when I was trying to clear it from fogging up but accidently nicked it with my wedding ring. Also used it to fix a huge set of nasty scratches in my bathroom mirror that a contractor did when he dropped/scraped my vanity light right all up on the mirror. It totally fixed the tiny ring scratches on the car windshield 100% and cleaned up about 70% of the major gashes on the bathroom mirror. If i had another hour or two of polishing I could have probably gotten to 90% on the bathroom mirror. The only problem with this stuff is it seems to instantly transform from solid powder to super wet liquid water with no middle ground. You want a thick slurry/yogurt/honey consistency to apply it but I was never able to dial it in very well. I wasted half the bag just trying to thicken up an overly watery batch. I found it was much better to put a little powder on your applicator bad and then mist/spray some water on it before shoving the pad on the glass rather than trying to mix it in a bowl.I was amazed with the results and will definitely buy again if I have any major noticeable scratches. Cleaned up like a champ!

Works well for light scratches, but deeper scratches require fine grit (2000+) pre-sanding first.
I bough this to buff out several scratches on my bathroom mirror. I used a Gold Label felt buffing wheel and high powered drill and followed the instructions very closely. After about 2 hours of buffing (re-applying the paste as needed) and another hour of buffing on another day, I didn't see any noticeable improvement. If anything, the scratches looked worse. They appeared a little wider than before. This slurry also leaves a huge mess all over! Be warned - this stuff splatters everywhere. Overall, if your scratch can be caught by a fingernail in any way, then this powder and any amount of buffing won't work for you. Instead, you will need the help of a glass repair expert, or will simply have to replace the glass/mirror. This product does not work on real scratches, only works on very light scratches and scuff marks.UPDATE 1/18/20 - I used this powder with buffing wheel to get scratches out of my high gloss porcelain tile floors and it did a marvelous job! So while it may not work as well for mirrors, it does work well with porcelain tile. Probably marble tile as well. It might be that you simply need to sand the scratches with 2000 grit sandpaper first and then apply the cerium oxide. So in retrospect, this product is better than I thought but needs better explanation and instructions Including all the types of surfaces recommended. (Porcelain, marble, glass, etc)

Almost a good kit
Powder, felt discs, sanding discs and polishing cloth are very good but the small (Dremel) arbor was bent and I could not polish what I bought the kit to do.

Don't waste your money ZERO RESULTS
This was the Messiest, Most Under Performing product i have ever bought. What a JOKE!! It never removed 1 scratch it took over 2 hours to apply and longer to remove all the powder it leaves in the window seal.I'm completely discussed and VERY Disappointed.I even bought the wheel they recommended to apply it, Slopping Mess with NO RESULTS ZERO

Works well for light scratches
Works pretty well for smaller scratches, deep ones are still there but that's to be expected. Definitely helped with the little scratches I would see all over the screen when using the phone in the sun, now there's only the small deeper ones on the top corner of my phone screen.
