Milford T - Earl Grey Cream Loose Leaf Black Tea 48 servings

Anyone with more than a passing fancy for tea will eventually change their preference from a filtered paper teabag that usually only contains fannings, and enjoy the benefits of whole loose leaf. When I discovered Milford T on Amazon, the first thing that I noted is that their entire selection of offerings was loose leaf only. This focus communicated an attention to quality. Secondly, the product information and pictures depicted large tins with flexible airtight, sealed caps. The packaging of loose leaf tea requires consideration - and should not be stored in bags that can be crushed, or paper that can leech oils and flavorings.But is it any good...? After my initial purchase, I will be sampling more of Milford T teas and providing reviews of each.PREPARATION:You should always use clean water when making tea. Unfiltered tap water works fine, but can contain trace contaminants based on where you are and where the water is sourced. When I must use unfiltered tap water, I find that the resulting tea is sometimes not as clear, and the flavor can be slightly off. My personal preference is filtered bottled water, or filtered tap water (I use a Brita filter). Heating the water on a stove or with an electric kettle provides a more uniform temperature than heating water in the microwave. When steeping and serving the tea, it is recommended that you use ceramic or glass containers for black teas and herbal infusions, and clay containers for green teas (note: rinse porous clay containers without soap).AROMA:I enjoy a cup of good Darjeeling or Oolong black teas any day of the week. But my favorite black tea includes oil of Bergamot, which is commonly labeled as "Earl/Lady/Duchess Grey". With its rich fragrance, it's no wonder that oil of Bergamot is also used in perfumes. The Milford T Earl Grey Cream includes vanilla extract, cornflower petals and natural flavors. The addition of vanilla adds a recognizable and attractive complexity to the aroma, but doesn't overpower the nose.FLAVOR:Disclaimer: I love vanilla. Having the combination of my favorite tea, with one of my favorite flavors, is like getting two great things for the price of one. If you have enjoyed Earl Grey alone, then you'll notice an additional creamy taste that the vanilla adds to each sip.

Davidson's tea is so much better. I thought I would try something different and it tastes awful.

I cannot open the container without spilling it everywhere. It tastes pretty good but I anticipated something "cream"-ier; tasted like regular Earl Grey.

This tea is great - just enough of the sharper Earl Grey flavor, and well balanced with the softer, almost sweet, vanilla. I have this just about every time I need to relax, but not fall asleep.

Very blend tasting tea. You will get better flavor from Lipton.
