I like Martin Strings acoustic sound.
I usually use the light gauge strings, but I bought another guitar to play a full step lower key than concert tuning and the light gauge strings sounded tinny, so I got the medium gauge and that did the trick. Nice sound, 2 guitars in different keys which make my sound unique.

Good Strings
I play a Martin guitar. For years I avoided Martin strings. Why? Martin knows guitars... and I thought strings from them was just another accessory... like a hat or a T-shirt. What do they know about strings? I decided to try these Authentic Acoustics when they first came out and I never looked back. Before this I played D'Addario exclusively and they are extremely good, and I would definitely use them in a pinch, but these Martins...these are my strings.

Always choose Martin strings.
First time using medium. Put them on a rosewood guitar. Nice deep sound with that wood. Martin strings have always lasted long. Bought the 3 pack for to give my brother a pack and we have been jamming away.

Wrong gauge and quantity
This review is on the shipper not the Marin strings. Received the wrong gauge and wrong quantity. I ordered medium (13’s) and received light (12’s) not worth the hassle to send back. The strings are good quality, but I wanted 13’s to down time a whole step. On the plus side I ordered a 3 pack and they sent 3, 3 packs. So I am rich in the wrong gauge of string:)

good quality
I have been playing guitar for 13 years and have always used martin medium 92-8(92 percent copper 8 percent tin) strings. I decided to give the 80-20(80 percent copper 20 percent zinc) a try. These are good but the 92-8's project more volume when played the same way. These strings are easy on the fingers, at first I thought they had mislabeled the package and these were light strings. I measured them (no problem for me since I am a retired machinist) and they are medium strings. These would be good for someone who uses light strings to try and see if they like medium strings. Overall, these are good and I will update my review after I see how long they last. The 92-8 last me 3 months and I play 1 hour 30 minutes per day. It will be interesting to see how long the 80-20's last. Everyone's guitar is different , so only you can decide if a certain string is right for your guitar. For me, I will stick with the 92-8. They have wonderful tone.

Excellent strings
The quality of these strings remains unchanged over the years and that is truly a good thing. The price has gone up with the passing years, but unlike many other things the quality has not been reduced. The only other thing I would suggest buyers consider is that these are medium gauge and thus better suited to players that have built up finger calluses rather than beginners. I've been playing these for well over 50 years and have never regretted the money spent.
