My first review was denied approval. So, with that said....I'll just post photos and let everybody judge for themselves. Very upsetting as a customer.

I hesitated to buy this not knowing if 1. It was bootleg 2. If it would include the blu ray. I am pleased to report it seems authentic to me and was mailed fully wrapped brand new. It includes a DVD copy and blu ray copy which is exactly what I wanted. No digital code included but that is not in listing, so I wasn't expecting it but want others to know in case that is a deal breaker for them. I am very happy with my purchase for a movie I've wanted my kids to see for several years now! Thank you!

Others have already covered the extras and everything else of concern with this release... But I wanted to add a review to mention that the digital copy is NOT redeemable exclusively on iTunes as another review states and as the ambiguous box might suggest.The box only has the iTunes logo on it but the way they're managing the digital redeem now allows you to do so on Google Play, Vudu, and Amazon too, as well as a new option called Movies Everywhere that links them all and adds it to all your respective accounts.I even got 5 free movies as a promo for redeeming my code and linking two other services to Movies Everywhere, which is what Disney will be using going forward.

Hey, so the live action "The Lion King" movie has come calling. You know what this means?It means that I need to re-watch the old school classic animated film again!Words cannot describe my love and excitement for this animated film! "The Lion King" is probably my all-time favorite animated movie and it is one that never got old no matter how old I get! I just had to get this beauty on DVD because I wanted to re-watch this movie OVER and OVER again until the day I DIE! But, here's a brief summary of the film if you want to know why this film is so AWESOME!The film started off with the birth of King Mufasa's son, Simba and because of this, Simba will be next in line to be the king of the Pride Lands. But unfortunately, Mufasa's evil brother Scar, wanted to be king himself and he starts making a plan on how to get rid of both Mufasa and Simba. When Scar finally succeeds in taking down Mufasa, Simba ends up running away from the Pride Lands and ended up with a warthog and a meerkat named Timon and Pumbaa. Now that Simba's past has caught up with him, Simba must take his rightful place on the throne and defeat his evil uncle Scar."The Lion King" has been a TRUE childhood favorite of mine! It has everything that you could ever hope for in an animated movie: drama, action, beautiful animation, amazing characters, brilliant character development and of course, MATURE THEMES like the death of a parent and the importance of being a ruler that is important for both parents and children to learn from. Probably the best part about this movie were the characters and the music themselves as they were very well done. My favorite songs in this movie were "I Just Can't Wait to Be King," "Hakuna Matata," "Circle of Life," and "Be Prepared!" I also loved the character development being done with all the characters, especially with Simba himself as he had to learn that he can't run away from his problems and that he must face them head on.All in all, if you want to see a true animated classic film, then "The Lion King" is definitely the one movie that you just got to watch! It has everything that you could ever hope for in an animated film and it is one film that continues to be an all-time favorite of mine to this very day!

Okay so they send me this movie too which it's obviously used (please look at pictures) it's called Lion Guard it came inside of the DVD too and it's all dirty and scratched up and the lion king movie itself it's not the original one. Everything it's too bright too too colorful, definitely not happy with it but my son whos 3 doesn't notice so I'll be keeping it. But yeah save your money and don't buy it.

I don't think that it's legit, but it does work in the US. Obviously no online movie code included (even though it says that there's one inside on the movie label), just the BluRay and DVD. Quality is fine, but something seems off on it.

So we all know the Lion King is an amazing movie no surprises there, and to be honest 4K and HDR does not do much for a animated movie from 1994, however, the Dolby Atmos mix is what makes this release worth it.I surprised my wife with this and put it on the other day having her sit right in the sweet spot of our Atmos home theater and turned up the volume to near reference levels, let's just say she and everyone else was blown away with the opening scene score/song..... The Lion King... BOOOM, yep that was Atmos alright.I then proceeded to to talk about how I could not wait to see (spoiler alert) the deathscene of Mufasa with the stampede (to everyone's horrified surprise) but I am an audiophile and I just could not wait (see what I did there) to hear the echoes of the stampede and roaring hoofs running over the ground with Scar's incredible voice (by Jeremy Irons) "LONG LIVE KING!" Yep that was Atmos too :)Very pleased about the outcome of the audio mix, one tiny weak spot is the dialogue which quite often is very hot-spotted to center channel with a less than dynamic feel to it (you can hear the actor speak/sing into a studio microphone rather than live recordings in a acting capacity) which takes a little of immersion away but not enough to warrant a striking of a star down to 4.

Came in on time. I have a disabled, special needs 17 year old who loves, and I mean absolutely loves this movie. So we wear out our dvd's pretty regularly. Glad I found a replacement copy at a great price with fast shipping!

I love this film more than my daughter. I am not ashamed.

Mal wieder ein klassischer Fail bei dem Sound der 4k Bluray . Die Tonqualität wurde von DTSHD ( normalen Blu ray ) einfach mal verschlechtert zu dolby digital Plus. Dafür sind zusätzliche Sprachen wie japanisch vorhanden. Darauf haben wir alle gewartet .Bei einem Film, der von der Musik lebt, geht das gar nicht . Hauptsache die Amerikaner bekommen dolby atmos ....

The best lion king film ever made nothing compared to the original my favourite characters the three adult male lions Mufasa Scar and Simba used to borrow the video tape off one of my brother's mates when I was a child had the DVD for Christmas 2003 but years later my brother and his partner borrow it they moved house probably lost it forever my dad ordered replacement for me no longer got the case although was better than most standard DVD cases keep the two discs in my DVD storage containers boxes

Film is grand, yet the product (sold by Entertainment.Direct) was advertised as new, yet came in an extremely shoddy condition. I wouldn't note this on the review if it weren't for the fact that even though I gave the store a bad review, they're still sitting pretty at a 100% positive rating.

The Lion King was the first film I saw at the cinema -I was only 6 years old at the time so all I can say that I remember about it that first time for sure is the stampede. More years than I care to remember we got a DVD player and started replacing those videos we still wanted to watch on DVD. But for some reason we couldn't get The Lion King -and as a result the only reason we have a VHS player is to watch the old Lion King copy that is all scratched and sticks because we've watched it too many times.When it came out again at the cinema me and my 23 year old friends all went to see it opening night-and were way more excited than we had any reason to be. The Lion King is a film for all ages, even if you don't love it because you're it's target age or because you've loved it for 17 years I guarantee you will enjoy this film. It has amazing songs, fantastic characters-brilliant actors, come on Rowan Atkinson, Whoopi Goldberg, Jeremy Irons, Matthew Broderick and James Earl Jones? All together in a film with music by Elton John? What more could you want? Shakespeare? Because we essentially have thatBasically, if you don't love this film...well there's certainly nothing wrong with the film, so that just leaves you..
