Most "biodegradable" airsoft BBs are just plastic with some sort of binder that will eventually degrade, causing the pellet to disintegrate into tiny plastic particles. Since plastic particles don't degrade, most "biodegradable" BBs still form plastic pollution, just in the form of tiny mobile particles. I would think that's actually worse than a big sphere of un-degradable plastic that may be more likely to get buried instead of washed away. Bioval makes the only pellets I could find that are truly biodegradable with no plastic involved.If anyone is worried about them degrading before you use them, I've seen no degradation in the last 7 months. I even found one I'd fired into the snow on our deck 6 months ago that got baked over the summer and it still looked smooth and round and was hard. Of course that also means they must take quite awhile to degrade in the environment, which is a downside, but at least their white color isn't obtrusive like the neon yellow guys.The bioval BBs fire great from the  Soft Air Taurus PT24/7 Spring Powered Pistol, Black . I can't comment on how they compare to other BBs, but I searched around the web before buying and found a lot of favorable reviews. They tend to be slightly smaller than plastic pellets which makes them work better in guns that have an internal tab to give the pellet a spin.Bioval pellets have come down in price so they aren't much more expensive than plastic-based pellets. Plastic particles can be washed into the ocean where they accumulate in clams, mussels, and move up the food chain as larger creatures eat smaller, eventually returning to humans in seafood. So let's do the right thing for ourselves and the planet and not put more plastic out there simply to save a buck.

These .20g bbs are high quality. To date, I haven't experienced any sort of breakage within the gun's mechanisms. It doesn't seem to leave any gunk behind (I've heard some biodegradable bbs do this). There are no seams as far as I am aware, all of them are perfectly spherical.The only thing I haven't had a chance to verify is the biodegradability. For a bright white bb, these things are hard to find in a lawn. They are certified by the US Department of Natural Resources, so they should eventually degrade (assuming that's what they were certified for).Overall, it was a good purchase.

wanted some that were biodegradable. not sure if these will live up to it's claim as it will take some time for the test to be complete. But figured if they were approved by fish & wildlife they must be okay. fast shipping.

Very nice quality BBs. The feel and finish of them are on par if not nicer than a few other top regular brands I've tried.They shoot straight and nice.Happy to have a certified biodegradable BB.

Hi quality bbs, can not tell that they are not just plastic. Found one partially degraded, took more then a year to this condition.
