Scotch Tl1306 Pro 12 1/2-Inch Thermal Laminator, 6 Mil Maximum Document Thickness

This is a terrific laminator. It works really well. It heats perfectly. I've been using it for over a year and I would buy the same one again if I had to. Every single thing I have laminated has turned out great. No need to use the protector pouch as long as your laminating pouch is connected. I use the brand name materials with this, but I have used a few off brands that have worked well. It will laminate anything (3 mil, 5 mil, or 6 mil). The opening is very large. It does draw a lot of power. I have led lights in my craft room and it makes them blink when I turn it on. It heats to ready in a very short time period (less than a minute or two). I have put sixty sheets of 5 mil laminate through mine back to back with no problem.

After returning the first Scotch PRO Thermal Laminator, 4 Roller Machine with 2 temperature settings because it was damaged and did not work I was sent a replacement on the condition I sent the damaged one back again. This I did at a cost of £77-75p, Amazon assured me that I would be refunded the cost of postage (Check correspondences) I received a replacement Scotch PRO Thermal Laminator, 4 Roller Machine with 2 temperature settings undamaged and so set about using it. I plugged it into the socket and after using it to laminate about a dozen A4 sheets it started to smoke the paper jammed and it stopped working, it was very hot and I believe would have caught fire had I not unplugged it. It would appear that the voltage used by this laminator is not compatible with the UK, it should never have been sold out of the USA, it is a fire hazard. They have refunded me £12-77p meaning that as well as not having a usable laminator now, I am down £65-48p. Amazon assured me that I would be reimbursed for any postage paid, to date I have heard nothing.And what am I to do with the burnt out laminator ? I am not prepared to pay out another £77-75 to return this one but I do know that I am entitled to a full refund for the amount I paid originally.Please advise me as to what Amazon are going to do about this because I am prepared to take legal action.RegardsA Griffiths

Perfect laminator for small and large projects! Heats up super fast in 2-3 minutes which is faster than any other laminator I have used. You can laminate 3-7ml laminating sheets and you can laminate them horizontally or vertically. Love the reverse button too, I use it just in case I need to re-adjust/ straighten the tags/labels I am laminating and move them slightly just before they are set through the laminator. I love the speed and quickness of this machine. The base does get very warm after laminting a large job and takes a while to cool down once turned off, so I just let it sit out for 30 minutes before storing.

It started as a great laminator. I use it almost daily as a teacher, and all was going smoothly until about a month ago, when it started making loud noises when laminating. Finally, the rollers no longer pulled the pouch through the machine. I checked to see if anything was stuck inside, but nothing. It just stopped working! The heat is still fine, but the laminator will no longer pull things through. Makes me sad since I spent so much money on this machine.

We purchased this for work, and maybe laminated 10 sheets/week at best. It was amazing; however at the 6 month mark, it developed a strip that didn't laminate...that's ok, we just adjusted where we placed the smaller lamination projects. Now at the one-year anniversary of purchase, the machine has stopped feeding the projects thru the laminator. For the cost of $145, I would hope that this product would last a bit longer.

This was purchased by supporter of a State Park, I have not personally used it, but it was liked & has been used.So far, so good!

Quick, intuitive, quality laminating. Great feel to the product (contours make it easy to grasp). Price was good. Love this laminator.
