I am someone that cannot stand light when I'm trying to sleep and I hated the way that traditional masks went around my head. That squeezing feeling ranged from awkward to annoying and often lead to me ripping off my mask in the middle of the night, only to be assaulted by the sun in the morning. (Dramatic? Yes. Morning person? Not even close.) This mask was the solution. It doesn't completely cause a blackout, but does the job well enough to where I'm not disturbed if someone were to turn the light on in the room I'm sleeping in. It never randomly comes off in the middle of the night. I'm use to molded masks that create room for my nose and eye, versus flat masks that put pressure on my eyes and nose while never blocking out light. Even though this mask would be considered a "flat mask", it manages never to put pressure on my eyes and nose. The straps going around your ears was different, but it didn't take long to get use to. Being able to adjust the tightness is key and you can actually maneuver the tightening machinism so that it sits below or above the ear - I think this is critical to over all comfort. I found that leaving the machinism behind my ear bothered me; it would get squished between my ear and head whenever I slept on my side - so I always suggest rejigging it. To wash, I put it in a small laundry wash bag and then toss it in with my delicates in the wash and then the dryer on low heat with no issues. Part of me would still love to see an over the ear adjustable molded mask, but this is still great.

It's lightweight, I don't know where the weighted part comes in (?). It is light blocking and while it does press against your eyes it's not uncomfortable at all. My biggest issue is the straps. Yes, they're adjustable and that's great but no matter what you do you're going to find yourself sleeping on the plastic adjustors. That's uncomfortable and my ears wind up sore from them. I fully plan on altering mine to fit differently so it doesn't hurt to wear it. It's not a bad mask, and I will admit, I'm very sensitive and it doesn't take much to cause me pain.

I purchased this eye mask to improve my sleep. There are many items in my bedroom that emit light..the alarm panel, my DVR etc. Any light in the room can be disturbing to one's sleep. This mask completely blocks out those ambient lights. It's soft and comfortable, but sometimes the strap behind my ear causes symptoms when I've slept too long on one side. Even though it blocks out all light during the night, I can also tell when it's morning. It's not bright, but I can tell enough of a difference which I like. It's not so pitch black that I sleep through the morning.

I absolutely love this mask. Masks with bands that go around the head (no matter how they fit) give me migraines. I’m so happy I found this one that goes behind the ears. I was worried about it being uncomfortable on my ears, but it’s not uncomfortable at all. I sleep so well. I find the mesh side keeps me nice and cool, whereas the silk side makes my face very hot. I’ve never found anything made of silk cooling, though. I can’t sleep without this mask. I initially got it to cover my eye tape (I have eye tics that keep me from falling asleep— so I have to immobilize my eyes sometimes) and it gives my eyes a lot of comfort, like a pillow for my eyes with really light pressure. I still use it when I’m not taping my eyes. I have found myself oversleeping sometimes because of how well it blocks light, LOL. Daytime naps are now heavenly. I need to get some more because I genuinely fear having to sleep without it if I were to lose it.

I am only giving this product 4 stars because the plastic ear strap adjuster is quite uncomfortable when sleeping on your side. It gives me a very sore, tender ear. I decided to remove it & tighten it by making a knot. I will be trying that out tonight. If that doesn't work I will just put a stitch in it to hold the ear loops where they won't slide off. Your eye mask shouldn't keep you up at night!I was ecstatic when I found this 1 because most have the elastic strap which breaks my fine hair. The eye pad is soft & plush. I like that it can be washed. I have bought cheaper ones in the past that fell apart when they were washed.

I am 100% satisfied with this mask, it is super soft and comfortable! I just used it last night and I must give it 5 stars. It has both sides, one side is meshed fabric, one side is silk, both sides are comfy. The ear loop Design is exactly what I am looking for, it fits me very well after easy adjust. I don’t like head band since it will make me headache. It even improve my sleeping quality. I just wish the elastic ear loop can be durable. Highly recommended.

I have had this item for about a year now. They are so comfortable and keep daylight completely out. I love that they go around the ears. I use them at home and trips. They wash very well (hang dry). I use one side for the summer (nice and silky) and the other for the winter (not as cold).

It’s weird to get this excited about eye masks but WOW!!! I have tried so many (I travel a lot for work) and this is by far the best.Pros:- It is the softest (no rigid parts)- it’s large and cushioned- the silk side feels cool on the face- it stays on your face really well because there’s no part that goes around the back of the head that can move if you slide your head on the pillow.Cons:- it’s a little bit bulky so my tight overnight pack has grown ever so slightly
