Q: What is the load capacity of each stand?

These are very solid. I have 8 inch Mackie's (15 lbs?) and no problem. From a normal desktop height they point the sound directly to your head. Very pleased and recommend highly.

Q: What is the size (width * height * depth) ? the product description says 8 x 5.5 x 8 inches, but they don't look as wide as they are deep.

My set measures 5.5" wide, 8" deep (front to back) and just over 3.5" high at the front
