Does the bottom piece clamp directly on the metal port or do I need to save the rubber ring that comes off with the old assembly?

You don’t need any old clamps, all you need is already on the new piece.

Will this fit 2011 vw routan se?

If you have the 3.6 litre V6 in your routan. It should fit. The routan has the Chrysler 3.6L from the dodge and Chrysler mini vans as I learned today from the VW dealership with all the same under hood heater hoses and such

Will each end have its clamp? I noticed the larger "Y" hose is missing a clamp!

I think they all had the clamps on there. You can reuse the current clamps as well. I’d suggested a good pair of locking vice grips to make it more manageable. Don’t forget to moisten the hoses before you put the on. You’ll lose some fluid when you do this as well. A lot more than I expected. I also cut the old hose off to get it out of the way. I used pvc cutters for that.
