Love
I read this book in a day. God Bless Patricia Williams. Patricia - or Rabbit a nickname from childhood- gives an unflinching glimpse of what life is like in the “hood” is like. You will laugh, cry, feel guilty for laughing- but walk away feeling the LOVE for everyone Patricia encountered in her life. I hope there is a sequel. Patricia writes with a sense of Love for everyone who she has encountered in her life. The book ends when she meets the Love of her life and begins to turn her life around. It sounds hokey but this book is a gem. She writes with honesty and warmth and doesn’t sugar coat her life. Thank you Patricia for sharing your journey. Please write a follow up- I will be first in line to read it.

The most interesting woman in the world!
I first heard Ms Pat on a radio show casually talking about selling drugs and getting shot in the past but she made it sound hilarious! I quickly realized she was telling true stories so I binged every podcast and interview I could find and couldn't get enough of her. I bought a brand new copy of her book so I could know the whole story. It did not disappoint. I never read biographies but Ms Pat has to be the funniest and most honest woman I ever heard of. She is just naturally funny and it comes through in her story. She had an unbelievably tough upbringing in the ghetto in Atlanta. Despite that Ms Pat had a light shining inside of her that could not be extinguished by her rough life on the exterior. She had angels show up in her life to guide her in the right direction to help her inner light shine even brighter. She did some bad things as a young teen orphan just trying to take care of her children but she turned it all around. She has a heart of gold with the mouth of a sailor lol. I wouldn't change a thing about her. The book is phenomenal even for someone like me who mostly reads fantasy. You will laugh your a$% off and want to cry sometimes too but you'll end the book feeling better than when you started it. I highly recommend it and her podcast too! Thank you Ms Pat and Jeannine Amber!

Read it in 1 day. Couldn’t put it down
This book was…I don’t even know. Heart wrenching, raw, real and inspiring. The way the story is told, it was like Ms Pat was right there telling me herself. I could hear her voice in my head saying the things she said in the book. This is not a book you want to overlook. Ms Pat went through a lot to get where she is and I admire the hell out of her.

This book is an amazing read!! I read the entire book in one sitting!! I couldnt stop reading!! I was already somewhat familiar with her story after watching her show on BET+ but this book, as books always tend to do, gives you a closer, detailed story (some things were changed for the show). It is a real page turner! I am such a fan of hers! Her story is remarkable!

Ms. Pat
I stumbled upon Patricia, aka Ms. Pat, through her show, which had me cracking up more times than I can count. So, imagine my curiosity when I found out she penned a memoir. Diving into her story, I was taken aback by the depth of her experiences. It's like, the life she lived, molded by her surroundings and her family's history, was beyond anything I expected. The trials, the hustle, the sheer amount of stuff she's been through and witnessed—yet here she is, not just surviving but thriving, carving out her space in the comedy and acting world. It's nothing short of inspiring.Ms. Pat's journey is a testament to resilience. She managed to rise above her challenging circumstances and provide for her family against all odds. It's a reality check, especially when I hear my kids complain about trivial things. It makes you think about the resilience of others who've faced unimaginable hardships from a young age. Patricia's life story is a powerful reminder to appreciate our own paths and recognize the strength it takes to overcome adversity. Her ability to still stand strong, with her sense of humor intact, after everything she's been through is not just commendable—it's downright admirable.

Fan for life
A must read for any Ms. Pat fan! I purchased this book after listening to Ms. Pat for years. The book dives deeper into her past than what she has covered on stage and on her podcast. Many of the stories will be familiar to true Ms. Pat fans but the writing allows you to dive deeper and see different sides of the comedian we have come to love so much. A reader of any background can find a lesson in this book. I appreciate the time that went into writing this book and wish for Ms. Pat to get the recognition she deserves. Her comedic spirit is appreciated more than she will ever know.
