This is ok but not great. Would be better as a review than as a workbook.
This product has videos available to watch for each day, which is why I selected this. I bought four different levels for four students. The video are very fast and the video needs to be paused often. Also, it mostly just solves the problem quickly without much explanation. Also the person writing the answers has terrible handwriting and it is confusing for students to even see what he is writing. I think this would be ok for a review of material that the student already understood, but I'm not happy with it as a stand alone math program.

Truly Fantastic Workbook
I love how the workbook has the answers in the book and FREE online video explanations. When my child gets a question incorrect, we watch the video explanations and She understands better. She is 10yrs old in the 4th grade(soon to be 5th) but her math is about 2nd or 3rd grade level. She is also homeschooled due to behavioral issues. This workbook is perfect for her to learn math with. Each page is 5-6 short questions. One page a day, 5 days a week for 20 weeks. There is a Day 6 Challenge question at the bottom of the Day 5 pages. I wanted the color version but it only came with Black and White pages. The company said they sold out of the color version and are working on printing more colored workbooks. I ordered my 6yr old son(soon to be 2nd grade) the same workbook. He is public schooled. He finds math easy, so this book probably won't challenge him that much. Overall, a fantastic workbook. I am planning on getting their ELA workbooks as well.

Good practice, little instruction
This is a good workbook in general. I bought this and "Part 2" thinking that I would work 1:1 with my daughter on the first one, then use the 2nd one as extra practice. However, the questions are identical in many cases, meaning I only needed one of them. We stopped using this one and kept using Part 2 (the Free Response one).

Generally good and well organized sections, well matching school common core guide;
-the book is generally very good, espeically you can have the kid do the page, than watch the video as a check point and also as if a teacher is explaining things in details, which is super helpful to parents-there's mistakes in the book or in the videos, we've noticed Week 16 Day 3 Video missing, when you click on Day 3, the content is actually for Day 2-week 16 Day 1 Question 4 is printed wrong on the book, while it's correct on the video, on the book it shows 'Which box contains the greatest amount of toys', which doesn't have an answer in the options-we did notice other similar issues as well, but didn't write down

This is a great idea! I don't like the videos covering the worksheets. I was hoping for relating videos covering the week. :( Other than that this book was fine. I'm going thru common core books myself. As someone with a possible future in Early Childhood Education I do this sometimes, regardless of age. I'm not strong in math either. So yeah. I'm lazy. I'll confess. But this is good. I will definitely use this as the take home book. Cause no textbooks are going home with my students. Parents don't need to reteach what was taught already in class. The fewer problems sent home, the better.

Best
Thank you!!!One of my favorite publishers for math workbooks for students. I have many of their books and have been consistently pleased with the quality and number of resources they provide. The workbooks include more than enough practice problems for your child to work through during the school year and the book comes along with their online website access. To my knowledge, all of their workbooks come with video explanations on their website. Some instructor reviews question by question making this an essential workbook to have for all parents and teachers. As a parent who has used their books for my kids and continue to do so, I highly recommend this brand.

Good Book. Advertisements in Video App is terrible
The book is good with word problems. Definitely recommend the book for 2nd grader. There is an accompanying video application ( mobile/tablet ) explaining the solution to the problem. This is good as well. However, each day's solution video begins with an advertisement of games and ends with an advertisement. There is no way you can skip the advertisement. This is irritating and prone for kids to focus on the game rather than a math problem. Please remove the advertisements and at least provide a skip button.

Good practice
I now look for these specific work books for all grades because it really increased my kids practice and actually had them working advanced math with ease while home. They are helpful in helping with common core methods while also breaking down steps that parents can follow
