Honey House Naturals 6 Count Lip Butter Tin Vanilla Almond

I like it a lot. My tin lasted nine months, but that's only using it maybe an average of once a day. I'm a lip balm addict so the use of this was interspersed with many others. I kept this one on my desk at home since it's a little less convenient/sanitary to use a tin when out. It's not hard and waxy at all, the first ingredients being shea and mango butters, followed by jojoba. I love the smell - seems more like vanilla and honey to me with only a hint of almond. I've used their tube lip balm as well, and like it a lot, but it went a lot faster. Not sure either is my favorite lip balm, but I'd buy both again.

For the cost, I was expecting something better quality: a little larger, a little more moisturizing, and with a better scent and/or flavor. However what I got it little larger than a US quarter in diameter, seems to actually make my lips a little drier when it wears off, smells like Playdoh and tastes like nothing whatsoever. The last bit I found curious because it's listed as "vanilla almond flavor." Yet, yeah, no taste at all. I thought then, perhaps it was at the very least honey almond scented, but no it's not that either.The tin is cute, which is about the only redeeming factor. If you're savvy you can reuse it once the product is gone for something else. Either mixing your own balm with petroleum jelly and a touch of lipstick or perhaps as a pill box or for tiny keepsakes.

I purchased the mango flavor years ago and then never used it. It did not seem to moisten my lips. However, now, at age 69, my upper lip is continuously cracked and nothing has been able to solve the problem. Every time I opened my mouth to eat, pain resulted as the lip re-cracked. I happened to spot this in the back corner of a drawer and pulled it out. After two days, the crack is almost completely healed. I only need use it twice a day...morning and evening. I was not looking for either flavor, fragrance, or moistening but for healing results. It has done what no other lip balm could do.
