Cozy Quilt Designs Strip Tubing book

Cozy Quilt Designs’ patterns are always clear, concise, easy to follow and fun to sew. This book is no exception. Strip tube construction is a pleasure to use, speeds up construction and improves consistency in blocks. Plus, you can make really cool patterns/designs!! Highly recommend this book.

Great book to provide a variety of basic strip tubing patterns - could keep you busy for weeks if not months. The color photos and patterns layouts are inspiring. I appreciated the info for all sizes of quilts for each pattern. Instructions are easy to follow. The author graciously makes it clear that the Strip Tube Ruler is not mandatory - but it does make the process easier. I look forward to tackling the pattern on the cover!

I love strip tubing - gets quilts done fast, and easy.Enjoyed the book - will use it for many of the quilts I'm working on.

The quilts were pretty, but I was disappointed to find it was such a small book. I felt it was expensive for what I received.

This book along with the ruler is the best for creating HST. It has all the information and chart for different size HST. Definitely the fastest way to make HST and rarely do they need to be squared up, ready to go after cutting.

I really like this idea. I didn't read the directions completely and thought I could just sew 4 2-1/2" strips together and make the tube but it hasn't worked out so well. I will take the time and read thru all the directions before trying this again.

I liked the idea of making a tube and cutting it and piecing it back together. Looking forward to trying this.

I like my strip tube pattern book. I will definitely be using this book & making some of the patterns included. The instructions on how to correctly use the strip tube ruler were good & easy to follow. The book is 30 pages, both black/white & coloured photos. The book also shows how to make 1/2 square triangles, general sewing like borders, layers, quilting, binding, strips & background, making the block, layout, finishing & several projects. Each project shows the process from start to finish with the finished quilt coloured photo.I love all the various charts to help me cut my strips based on fabric 40” wide with little fabric waste between cuts. The fabric requirements for 2-1/2” strips & 1-1/2 strips. The various layout block options, twist & turn the blocks to achieve your own quilt design(author shows her favourite 9 options for the 6x8 quilt). Projects: Freestyle Roman Strips, Double Star, Just Too Easy, Bear Paw Star, Cut Diamonds.I bought the book primarily for learning how to use the Strip Tube Ruler & the various charts & was pleasantly surprised to find some projects included. I believe the book is a worthwhile purchase.
