Patch Panel
The patch panel is fairly straight forward for anyone that has ever installed any networking before. The 110 block backs work perfectly well with a standard punch down tool and the wiring is easy enough to route through the provided guide slots. In my case, I, at the time, only needed around 5 ports, but I opted for the 24 port model over the 12 port, because I knew the building I was installing this in would eventually be moving into the 15-20 port range thus allowing myself some extra slots already available for when that occurred. I would suggest that if you are going to use any other patch panels in the Leviton box to get at least the medium sized box, because the small box would not truly allow for much room left over for anything except this panel, as it easily takes up one whole side of the box.

A great patch panel for home/small office
This patch panel is simply another great Leviton product. I've used structured wiring products from several different manufacturers, and I have to say that Leviton's is about the most well thought out of the product lines. This patch panel, much like the rest of their stuff, is all Far East plastic - but Leviton's seems more well built than most. The legs that hold it in your wiring cabinet are thick and the holes that hold the pegs are substantially thick - no pulling apart when mounting this thing! Also, a nice usability feature that this Leviton panel has, is little hooks on the front side - when you're punching down your cables, you simply spin the thing around and HOOK it into the peg-holes in your cabinet - this locks the panel in place and give you a nice firm surface to punch against - when you're done, simply spin it around and push your pins in - ready to go! The last feature that made this my choice, was the number of ports (24) and the fact that you could mix/match the types (not ALL cat6 or cat5e) - I was fairly specific about what cable speeds I was installing at various locations (based on the device going at each outlet), so I saved a little money by only dedicating (and paying for) cat6 where I really needed it. Overall - a GREAT product - easy to use, sturdy, and latest mainstream technology. Definitely recommend this for small patch jobs!

Fits & worksw well
easy to punch down (I used type B), fits well, works well, nice little slots for wires coming in either top or bottom (no side option). Pros: Fits nicely into SMC no issues (can do two side by side if you have the large SMC) Clean looking Clean wire management (top or bottom) Con: Price is a bit higher for 24 port patch

A few annoying details
This little panel works great. It isn't full-width in my structured wiring enclosure, so there's plenty of room to manage cable runs to other devices. The panel punches down 110-style in the rear, and there are openings top and bottom which are large enough to pull six CAT-6 cables, each, through them. There's not much more room than that, however; it would be great to allow more cable under this panel so that it can run behind the panel to another panel located lower or higher in the cabinet. The construction is also a bit flimsy. I use a mechanical punch down tool, and the pressure required to get it to trigger bends the plastic housing substantially. The PC boards are pretty thick and the 110 blocks are made from good plastic, so I think the unit will be fine, but the bowing when performing the punch downs is very unsettling to me. There are tiny cards included for labeling the jacks, but I'd never use them. I'd rather print a label with my Brady labeller and stick it to the panel. However, the plastic recesses and clips designed for the tiny, included labels provide no level surface adjacent to the jacks. All of the permanent markings on the unit are black-on-black and impossible to see without excellent lighting. Electrically, the product works great and offers full CAT-6 bandwidth when properly terminated. The annoyances are small, but in combination end up costing the product a star.

Great piece to put in your media hub.
My media hub is in my closet and when i has the house built I had 8 network cables ran for my outside cameras and have 9 rooms with network Cables ran. I got this and attached everything with ease. Took me less than an hour to punch all the wires for the 17 pre ran network cables. The cheat sheet let’s u run either 568A or flip it over and punch in for 568B. Remember whatever u punch here you need to wire the RJ45 the same so the cables work right. Once those two ends are ran the same you don’t have to worry about whatever cables are plugged into it. Have had no issues with this and get gigabit speeds throughout the house.

High price, but a Must for Leviton Structured Media Panels
Look, this patch panel isn't anything special - your run of the mill 24 CAT 5e ports. You can certainly save money elsewhere. But if you're working within the confines of a Leviton Structured Media Panel, you simply can't do better. The Leviton ecosystem is tightly integrated, primarily by the shape/size of devices, but also because of their proprietary plastic mounting clips. I had initially planned on purchasing two less expensive 12 port patch panels for my Structured Media project, but decided against it when I realized how much room they'd consume. Not to mention that their holes didn't align to the preset holes in the media panel, meaning I'd be drilling more holes into my wall (my panel was surface mounted). This panel was easy to install, has a sturdy build, and has functioned flawlessly ever since.

Must have for a structured media box.
I had a box installed during construction of our house 15 years ago. The before was years of the rats nest and poor cable management. The 476TM is a huge improvement for routing and cable management. Took me a bit to remember my termination skills. But in total it only took me an hour to complete.

Exactly as advertised.
Easy to install - use a punch down tool with the cutting blade on one side. It snaps into standard wall box and is real clean. It costs a little more but does exactly what I bought it for and fits the space.

This patch panel provides 24 ports in a relatively small space. Cable management works well and is well marked for easy termination. The only downside is the fact that you have to terminate on the back side of the panel requiring it to be flipped front to back once terminations are complete. This requires careful planning of wire placement to ensure adequate cable lengths.

I did all the crimping myself in no time. Even with all Cat6e cables clipped, everything was easy to manage. There is plenty of room to crimp everything with no problem.

This is a pretty expensive peice of plastic. I bought it because I have a small Leviton Network Enclosure. The Leviton 49605-30W. I really wanted to use this item to maximize space in the enclosure. I haven't started punching it out yet.. however immediately I can say that not all 4 hooks grip the inside of the enclosure in order to do the punch down portion.. I've checked out the holes for when I "flip it" and they seem to line up nicely. The best I could get was 2 of the feet to hook on.. in my opinion the legs aren't big enough.. and don't go deep enough to catch the thickness of the enclosure. I will still use it.. not going to return it based on that.. but I'm dissapointed. When I buy products of the same brand, I expect them to 100% fit with no negotiation. I could see if these were different brands.. but this twist and mount is supposed to be designed for use inside these LEVITON Network Enclosures.
