I got this to be able to switch out the cooking pot when I want to cook more than one thing quickly in my instant pot. I can put ingredients in my extra pot while I cook with another then just switch the cooking pots when the first pot is done.

Bought it as a extra, I use it especially for jambalaya soup. Make rice in one and the soup in the other.

Very nice pot. So nice to have an extra pot on hand.

This pot is too short for the 6 qt pressure pot, does not seal and should not be used as pressure pot. As pressure pot comes to temperature, the steam blows past seal 360 degrees around pot and will not create pressure. Since pressure seal doesn't seal, pot will overheat and melt wires.
