Viotek 550W 20/24 Pin Power Supply with PCI Express & SATA - New Revision for Multicore CPU and High End Video Cards

This is a review update on this product. While I still believe it is a quality built power supply and is very quite it most certainly does not have the power output advertised. I am running it on a HP p6230y PC with an upgraded 10 year old ATI 3870 Video card. I tried to add another internal SATA hard drive and it won't boot up. I tried several drives and it did the same, won't boot unless you are only running one internal SATA drive. However this being said I think I still got a good power supply for a good price and am able to work around this but would only recommend as a purchase for replacement for 400 to 450 watt requirement. This PC came with a 300 watt power supply and the only upgrade is the video card which recommends a minimum 450 watt power supply. This power supply does run very cool which is a big plus for any PC.

This is a cheap PSU. ATX cables are too short (for the bottom mount), no power switch, no led indicator, no clearly marked mounting holes, no manual.., The unit is surprisingly light for the claimed 550 watt power, which means one simple thing (unless we witness a breakthrough in technology) - do not count on stable and reliable output here, So as always, you get what you pay for.

I bought this power supply to run my Plex Server. It is currently powering a AMD FX 8320 with 5 hard drives and a CD drive. I bought this power supply because it is low cost and could power up to 6 devices with sata. I do not believe this is a great power supply to power a graphics card if you have one. Make sure you check what attachments this one comes with to ensure the correct adapters are there.

Surprised at how many problems this solved! My old supply would start up sounding like "the little train who could" Once warm it seemed ok. But when I finally bought this product, many system problems went away. I installed by unplugging the old unit one plug at a time. Once I got past the double 8 plug can be snapped in half for a 4 plug, it was very smooth sailing. It really is worth the​ money.

I don't know much about power supplies but this one is satasfying and just to my needs. the power supply came in a nice package.The power supply looks just like the picture.i though it would come with 2x 6 pin pci-e connectors but i must have read wrong because it only had one, but 2x 4 /8 pin connectors.Although didnt worry because i had 4-pin molex connector with 6pin at the end of it, it came with my graphic card so i just added that as substitute. ive been using it for the past 4 days without a problem and this was my first time connection a power supply to a desktop .youtube has easy instructions
