[ Shipping ] Ships in 2 -7 days depending on production schedule, to maximize freshness. Oh Kimchi is made fresh and then shipped directly from the Oh Kimchi kitchen. Oh Kimchi comes in multiples of two. For example, if you order four jars they will arrive in two separate boxes. Because of natural fermentation, the kimchi will produce a potent smell and in some cases the liquid content may overflow. This is a normal signal that lactic acid is being produced by good bacteria, and not a sign of spoilage. We recommend you cautiously open the jar over a sink because fermentation causes pressure to build up in the jar. [ About Oh Kimchi ] The delicious, traditional Korean flavor featured by Oh Kimchi is not by accident. Handmade by Abigail and Duane Lunde, Oh Kimchi is the product of genuine and energetic passion for this distinctly Korean food. Truly, Oh Kimchi's flavor befits the personalities of the creators, authentic and aiming to please. In addition to the tremendous kimchi taste, all varieties of Oh Kimchi are rich with probiotics, and are gluten-free as well as chemical-free. Another secret of Oh Kimchi's success is using only the finest vegetables, many coming from local, Austin (Texas) farms. Oh Kimchi sources vegetables solely from local farms dedicated to clean, sustainable, chemical/pesticide-free farming, if not certified organic. Each piece of vegetable in any given jar is examined, then cut and cured by hand. From vegetable selection to final mixing and jarring, this kimchi is put together with care and personal attention to detail. How else would you produce a kimchi inherited from your dear grandmother and the 50-year "Oh" family tradition? (Hence the name "Oh Kimchi.") This is exactly what Abigail (who is half Korean) has done. It's no wonder her passion and her kimchi are real, and are sending ripples of Korean flavor from the farm country of Texas to tables far and beyond.
