Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 SE Mechanical RAPID FIRE Wired Gaming Keyboard -Cherry MX Speed -White

First things first, I bough the Cherry MX Silent version of the keyboard. If you are buying a mechanical keyboard then it is must you know the difference between the mechanical switches and what will be your preference of the available options.Not into the review,* Body of the keyboard is very sturdy and will give you good life.* Keyboard contains dedicated volume rocker and media control keys which was one of the main reason why I opted for this keyboard. I need the volume control for my daily use.* Keyboard has 1 USB passthrough port which is useful to plugin your mouse or a pen drive if you want to do some light data transfers.* Due to the passthrough port, the keyboard cable is very thick and also has dual USB at the end. Both USB plugs has to be plugged in to your system for passthrough to work.* This has nice stands that keeps keyboard in one place.* Arm rest is comfortable and easy to connect or disconnect.* Keyboard also comes with keycap remover and swappable gaming key caps for A,S,D,F + few more.* RGB is very pleasing to eyes and profiles can be switched using the onboard buttons.* Not a fan of iCUE software which is complex to use compared to Logitech G software. You cannot easy import gaming profiles like what Logitech has. Corsair has to improve in that area.* Now coming to the keys which is the most important aspect of the keyboard, Cherry MX silent are comfortable use on a daily basis. I also own a Logitech G910 which has Romer G keys which are hard and created pain in my fingers after long use. So, I like these new Cherry MX silent keys which are silent enough and has less trigger force for actuation.Overall this keyboard is really nice and good as a gaming keyboard plus your daily driver for work from home use.

Delivery: Okay, they put a stamp of the keyboard box and shipped it without any extra packaging. The keys were all over the place. Lucky nothing was damaged.Keys: They are my first Cherry MX Reds. They live upto my expectations except the ones which have stabilizers on them, especially Spacebar. It is too rattley. I silenced it using a plastic as cushion underneath the stabilizers. It made a huge difference. Infact, I added cushions to rest of the keys too. Two of them, ENTER & RSHIFT, are still noisy but at specific corners not the whole key.Corsair had been notorious with their stabilizers though. So I knew about this when I bought.Overall, the typing experience is amazing. I am definitely feeling the difference coming from macbook's butterfly keys.The keys are smooth. At first, I used to bottom out the keys, pressing it hard and it hurt my finger tips a little. Took me while to adjust to the 45g force and 2mm actuation point with no click as feedback as was in my Blue Switches keyboard.I had a couple of other keyboards is mind, Razer's Blackwidow v2 and Hyper Alloy Ellite.Rejected Razer, for their custom swiches as I decided to have Cherry Switches.Rejected HyperAlloy over looks (though the stabilizers are better on it) and I got a great deal over this on sale.The extra control buttons for media are awesome. They are membrane type and not as smooth as Cherry keys, a little too stiff.RGB on this are phenomenal. Though I rarely keep them on and use boring profiles just as backlit lighting. I think I am not doing them justice.iCue software is terrible. It is not user friendly at all. There is a good learning curve to it not as straight forward. Although, it provides more granular configuration for lighting. You can have 4 profile on the keyboard's memory and can update them from profiles you create. Or, you can load profile from iCue without onboarding or saving but you need to have the iCue window running.Overall the keyboard itself for typing is a solid 5.For lighting I would give it a 5. It looks stunning.There are some issues but not that big.Loving it so far.

Key points-- Mechanical keystrokes are loud & not silent- Requires 2 USB ports to connect- Solid build, justifies the cost- RGB is brilliant & provides a good look overall- Volume & multimedia buttons are on-point & easy to use- Comes with a Hand Rest which is of good quality- White colour looks beautiful aesthetically- Connecting wire is very solid & metallic braided- Its somewhat hard to adjust your fingertips to press keys & typing fluidity does not come by easily when switching from cheaper generic keyboards to this one - Seller sent me a used Keyboard, which has too many scratches & stray marks on logo & Space key, this was a cause of concern since one expects an brand new keyboard at this cost- Some keys were popped-out of the places & scattered across the packaging- Since CORSAIR does not have any official presence in India, its somewhat a risk to buy from Online shopping sites- Not aware if there are any service centres here in India to fix the keyboard once it goes AWOL from functioning

Desde o primeiro momento que peguei o teclado já percebi diversos pontos diferentes dos teclados mecânicos comuns, as teclas não fazem barulho do switch, apenas quando encostam a parte plástica na base metálica, mas por terem acionamento curto isso nem precisa acontecer, basicamente o teclado não faz som mesmo sendo mecânico e incrivelmente rápido. Base é metálica e o cabo é de um acabamento robusto.

Este teclado é para quem gosta de teclas mais baixas e que produzem menos ruído. Excelente para digitação.

I had the previous version of the K70 till I spilled coffee on it, crapped out and I got an excuse to change it out. This new version is very nice, key layout is the exact same so no muscle memory re-learning for me. It doesn't have the old thick and sharp aluminum chassis it used to, has a thicker plastic body that is very sturdy. The switches are silent and buttery smooth, keyboard overall is easy to clean if you keep a small brush handy. the media buttons and volume wheel are much better looking, sturdier and more functional, and the onboard profile for RGB lighting does solve a lot of issues the software had which slowed down game launching and caused random crashes to many. The wrist support is ok I would recommend pairing it up with a thick foam wrist support (like a glorious padded keyboard wrist rest)
