Lower your expectations!
This one has a very wonky grind and came out of the box with a giant burr. The burr was easily removed and despite the vastly uneven grind the knife is extremely sharp and a great slicer. Lock up is solid with no blade play and feels good. Handle is a decent size giving a full grip in all positions, may be on the small side for some people though. This is a good light duty knife that you don’t need to be afraid to loose or abuse.

Best affordable knife
You can’t ask for more considering the price! Sharp edge, light yet strong handle…what I’d expect from Buck!

Favorite knife
Sharp, high quality, in between size, I use as pocket knife but great for small hunting knife. I have 2 and they look and work amazing everything. Lightweight with easy open and Durable lock keeps fingers safe.

My new daily knife. Quality knife at an affordable price.
I needed a replacement knife and found online that this was a US- made knife that was actually affordable for daily use. I couldn't be happier with the quality. I liked it so much, I bought a larger version as a gift. Great knife.

poor quality (I will upgrade to a good knife for the money)
This is the second buck pocketknife I have purchased. The first in 2019 (Buck 841 Sprint Pro) for $100.00, it was a nice knife but I had to send it in for repair. I recently lost it so I bought another Buck, the 112 Slim Select for $32.00. I do realize the cost difference from mt first knife, but even with the difference in price this knife is hard opening, it came with a burr on the blade and has the feel of something you would buy at the dollar store. Apparently you have to spend $100.00 or more to get a descent pocket knife from Buck. needless to say I am very disappointed with this knife. ***** I'm upgrading my review to four star, after a few days of owning this knife it did become easier to open, and after I removed the burr from the blade and strophe it on leather and compound it has become very sharp and held it's edge. ( with light usage ) I believe my first evaluation was somewhat skewed because I was used to my old Buck "841 pro". So I have changed my review, but I will also I did order a new Buck 840. and I do like this one as much as the one I lost, they were both 5 star knifes as far as I'm concerned.

The Buck stops here!
This is the Buck I’ve been waiting for. I collect pocket knives, and the Buck 110 is my all time favorite knife. That said, the standard 110 is a beast to carry around. In steps the 112 slim.Pros:- Super light- Great pocket footprint- Excellent (if somewhat ugly) pocket clip- Good fit and finish for the money- Sharp as heck out of the box- The GFN scales feel amazing, maybe my favorite part of this knife!- Super solid lock up with no blade play- One hand opening/closing- Aesthetically pleasing designCons:- Pinned construction ( I like having the option to service my own knives)- Somewhat ugly pocket clip (opinion)- I prefer the deep clip point of the original 112 (personal preference)I own a lot of pocket knives. My wife would tell you too many. Knives ranging from $5-$350. Having a vide variety of reference points, I can confidently say that this is the best knife I’ve handled under $50 — surpassing the Ontario Rat 2 which I also love. I highly recommend this knife.

Its a Buck it speaks for itself.
My EDC arrived today. Out of the box very sharp and a quality item to purchase. The knife is tight which will loosen over time and usage. Feels real good in the hand and is super light. Belt clip is great sits real low in pocket for concealment. I have many buck knives and you cant beat the guarentee . I like it because it so light in the hand something that the buck knife is not noted for, and no sheath needed. The lock is positioned perfect on the knife. If your looking for a fast flip out this wont. This is a pure work knife but well made. Iam sure if you buy one you wont be sorry. My guess will be we will lose it before you break it.
