You will receive a basket nearly identical to this one pictured, but please keep in mind every basket is uniquely handwoven and can differ slightly. This basket is made of bukedo, the local term in Uganda for banana leaf stalks, and raffia, which comes from palm trees. Both of these materials are renewable, plentiful resources. Bukedo creates a sturdy base that dyed raffia is coiled around to make this strong basket. These baskets are traditionally used for serving food in Uganda. They look great mounted on a wall, propped on a shelf or even sitting on a table. The mission of this weaving group is to support as many other women as possible through the promotion of their handcrafts.

Disappointed - not what was expected.
The basket is well made; however; the picture misrepresented the purchase. I was expecting a black and white basket as seen in the advertisement. I received this brown, rust, and cream colored basket.

Love it
It’s great, as described and pictured looks awesome on my wall with others has a small loop on the lip and on the bottom/side for two different hanging options which I loved. It’s black threading basket and with like a sisal straw white pattern it’s great quality worth every penny
