Tips 1.AT-601W must be powered for function. It can be powered via USB cable by connecting to any USB-port supporting 5V output. A USB AC/DC power adapter is included in package. 2.Re-scan the channels after each switching of the Smartpass Amplifier. 3.Scan channels monthly to find all available channels including newly added or changed. 4.Do not place or hide the Smartpass Amplifier in/behind any metallic objects. 5.Keep the antenna away from any high power consumption devices to avoid interference. Not sure it's needed
Purchased this amp to add to an unamplified Antop indoor antenna to see if it made any difference in signal strength. While slightly better on some weaker stations, it made far less difference than I had hoped. While it appears to be decently made, I question how slim the 75 Ohm cable is that comes out of the unit and goes to the TV. It can't have much shielding, which makes me wonder if that's why the reception is only marginally better on just a few stations. It should be shielded as well as the cable that came with the Antop antenna that this amp was used with. And even that cable I found problematic with regard to interference, but at least it had some shielding.

Sadly did not work
I don't know why but did not work for me. This kind of equipment may or may not work. What works for one may not work for someone else. I did get by the time promised.

not as good as the one that came with my antenna
I bought this to replace an amplifier that came with my antenna but got damaged. In the exact same application this amplifier gave me 12 channels, but the original one that came with my amplifier gave me 23. So, not as good as my original but slightly better than using my antenna un amplified.

Mmmmmnnnaaaahhh. Not much different to UHF low band. Marginal.
Marginal effect on VHF low band channels 2 - 6.

Simple and perfect
Works like a charm

Didn't work for me.
Had no effect. The amp showed no gain on my signal meter. LTE interference remained. Useless.

Bad purchase
Does not work as described
