Laura AshleyCrochet Cotton 24x40 Bath Rug, Creamy White

My first order, the chrocheted lace was falling apart and had lots of yarn with visible 1" pieces coming out around the edge, center, including some of the yarn falling out of the mat. I returned it as it was definitely not salvageable. My second one arrived and it is in pristine condition. No yarn endings exposed and all the crochet intact. However, please bear in mind this can be washed in cold water and line dry . No dryer. Not sure why, after all it is 100% cotton. The dye color may bleed out as they said to wash with like colors or alone. It would take a week to dry in my house if I hung it over the shower pole or anywhere for that matter. So it is something to consider. The rugs are a great size, plush and very pretty to look at. I wash and dry my rugs almost weekly normally. My washer does a pretty dry setting on the spin cycle if I select it. I think it quite possibly because of what it is could shrink as most 100% cotton does which might cause the crochet to unravel possibly. Not sure. They are really pretty rugs but might be a problem except perhaps a guest bathroom that does not get the traffic a normal bathroom would get. Not sure. I know all about this as I read the care card attached, I will see how it goes to feel comfortable with the purchase. Right now I am enjoying their beauty. The larger one is quite large and can be an everyday bathroom rug or a nice bath mat. It is not always easy to find this color, and Laura Ashley products are typically top notch. So here's hoping. Just be aware they will take extra care.OK... washed on delicate in washer, tossed in dryer on low setting. Was expecting it to fall apart... not at all. came out plush and beautiful. No balls of yarn or huge clumps ... one piece no shedding, just perfect. I did have to send one set back as it was falling apart ... 2nd set is a keeper. Color did not fade.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are really nice and absorbing when you step out of shower! The color is pretty and soft and I have washed them several times times now and wash nicely. I find cool wash and let air dry works best to hold shape

These rugs arrived the other day, and they are better than I expected - however, I have yet to see how they wash up. They fit perfectly in the spots I needed, and the color isn't too pink. I like the crocheted edges, and they seem pretty durable. Overall, as a single girly who doesn't want an overly pink bathroom but wants a nicer-looking rug - these are perfect! Fingers crossed, they still show well once they are washed.

This item is gorgeous, in quality and the crochet work is impeccable......BUT the color is more of a grink, than a pink.....it looks old and has deep gray undertones and though I have tried every shade of pink near it to try to keep the bathroom in pink tones, it is totally off. I have never written a review, so hate that I am writing one now because I absolutely adore the Laura Ashley brand, but this one gets a thumbs down on color. The items states pink, so that should be changed to something else because the description is very misleading.

I really wanted to love this but mine looked like it had been used. For awhile.I was very disappointed, and started the return process.However, the charming look and pretty crochet trim got the better of me.Afterall, it would look amazing in my cottage home.So, I went ahead and washed it on a gentle cycle in cold water. Unfortunately, the crochet trim loosened up and unraveled in several areas.The stains didn't come out.Lesson well learned!
