I have always cable locked my bikes inside a locked shed; but after seeing how easy it was for thieves to cut the cable on my grandson’s bike, I decided to opt for something more secure.Of course, nothing can stop a thief if he is absolutely determined to steal something, but combining these locks and Abus chains should convince him to look for a less secure target.The lock is very well made. The waterproof cover for the locking mechanism should prevent any weather related problems, and the limited clearance between the bolt and the body should not allow a thief to use a bolt cutter.

I would highly recommend this lock to anyone looking for something basic yet sturdy. I bought it for a Uhaul trailer when I moved 3000 miles. It didn’t break, it didn’t come loose, it didn’t open unexpectedly, and deterred any possible thieves. It did rain a few times and the lock stayed dry.I haven’t used it for more than 5 days so I can’t speak for its long term use.

Heavier than our previous locks, easy to use just like others. I wish the plastic cover was stronger or thicker, since it came broken on the edge. Its good size, solid locks, but I dont think it's worth enough to pay this much.

I have used ABUS locks for years. Never disappointed with the quality. I trust them more than any other major brand. I trust them enough to protect several motorcycles and a roller full of Proto, MAC, Snap On and Milwaukee. End of the day a determined thief will defeat these locks but locks are for honest thieves anyway. However, these should stop your average criminal or at least slow them down enough to respond with other branded measures such as S&W or Colt.

Lock picking lawyer reviewed 4 types of these locks on ytube. He could not pick the Abus. I searched for Abus and found this one. IT IS NOT THE MODEL Lock picking lawyer reviewed as unpickable. The keys cannot be seen in the Amazon pictures. I do not pick locks but the keys for this model are VERY simple. I doubt they are in any way pick resistant. Watch the Lock picking lawyer and order. I used this padlock to secure a Uhaul truck travelling across the country. While the cylinder is not as high security as some of the other Abus products, it is still a darn good lock. The body is really solid, and welded, so it wouldn't be easy to just knock off of something with a force attack. The shackle was a bit loose feeling, but held incredibly well. The lock has several drain holes in it as well, to make it weather longer. I've switched to using these to secure sheds and lock boxes at home now. These will continue to be a great go to, fairly secure lock for me for a long time to come. The two pack with matching keys is very welcome as well.

This is a great lock, I've had it outside and its not rusting or locking up and still opens smoothly. The little blue cover keeps the water out. I noticed one day the little cover was opened. I wonder if someone tried to get in my barn?

Survived its 1st winter without issue. LPL I think would approve. Good shield shackle. Get creative on how you mount it to but the baddie in a bad spot. This should buy you time compared to anything master lock.
