Goes through metal a charm.
Excellent, high quality set of bits. Impressed opening these up and their performance on metal and wood. Used to go through a guitar pedal housing. Went through easily and cleanly. Recommended!

Bosch 19 piece HSS drill bit set.
These Bosch HSS drill bits cut through steel very nicely. I have used many cheap drill bits in the past, but they just make it hard work and do a bad job.I marked my piece with a punch and the drill bit sat nicely centred on the mark and did not wander. Applying firm pressure, keeping the speed low and regularly clearing the swarf out made it a pleasure to do this work. The holes were clean and precise. I followed up by using a larger size to make a countersink.Very pleased, and will be throwing away my cheaper drills - in the end the cheap ones are a waste of money.

So far so good, thought they wouldn't be up to the job but they certainly are.

When you need a good sharp very hard drill bit you've got to pay the price. Big name brand is the best bet, so I chose Bosch. Surprised to see Made in China on the box! Not used them yet but they sure look good.

Well worth the money
I bought these to drill through a seized locking wheel nut that had rounded off, they made fairly quick work of the nut and cut good chips without overheating

Needed to drill out a rounded bolt, I added a bit of WD40 and straight light pressure drilling, these drill bits made easy work of it!
