Lonely Planet Sri Lanka (Travel Guide)

Good overview on Sri Lanka.

Not as good as other Lonely planet guides we had used during our earlier transportation. Details on how to use different modes of transportation like train, buses etc between cities that too people with luggage is not at all explained. I think the writers of this lonely planet expect us take car & driver between places but we are the people who uses public transports. In other guide books we had used earlier like Turkish, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia to name a few, explains this aspect very well.

The Lonely Planet guides give all the essential details for anyone who is looking to travel away from the tour groups. I was so impressed that they dealt with issues relating to the availability of personal hygiene products, keeping safe as well as details on the cultural and tourist high spots. A must for the confirmed traveller.

very well concieved, written with appreciation towards the culture and contains all needed Information for the travel. includes also history and culture part.
