Women's Split Neck Floral Button 1940s Day 1950s Vintage Tea Dress

I am absolutely in love with this dress. I think I’ll by another color.I ordered size 4/6My measurements are:Bust (with bra) 35”Waist 26.5”Hips 36.5”I anticipated that the waist might be slightly loose on me but I can get away with not having it taken in.If you have a bust on the smaller side, it may not look very flattering.The design of the top looks like it should be filled out. (I have to wear a slightly padded bra to get away with it.)The fabric is soft. It has a slight stretch to the grain of the fabric in one direction.The armholes fit perfectly. There are too many dresses and shirts out there where the armhole cuts into your armpits. This one is perfect.The button spacing seems a little odd but I’m not terribly worried about it.I might put some fray check around the button holes. I’m not sure if the threads are unraveling but when I unbuttoned the dress, a thread from the actual fabric caught around every button. It has done this even more after a couple of washes.The lower seam on the waistline is slightly agitating. That’s really the worst thing I can say about this dress but it’s nothing a slip can’t fix. (Tried-and-true.)It is true to color, generally comfortable, is not see-through in any aspect and is just down right lovely to look at.I’ll try and update my review with more photos later.

I love this dress! One of my favorite online clothing purchases ever. It's really comfortable. Shapes the bosom nicely without showing cleavage. So I'd say it's flirty without being revealing. Go by the seller's size chart for sure. I'm a size 14/Large and I ordered at 2XL which fit me perfectly. I would recommend this dress- especially for a little bit bigger, curvier girl.

This is one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever worn it is perfect it is just like the picture actually it's even better. The material is soft and beautiful slightly stretchy so it's comfortable and fits my body just right the only thing I dislike is that the shoulders are two wide but luckily I can tuck them under and it looks great

I was a little worried ordering a cheap dress from Amazon, but I am very pleased. The white is a bit sheer so you would have to wear nude or light underwear beneath. The material is really light and breathable for summer I just hope it washes well. It's not the highest quality material. Kind of a faux silk or satin but you get what you pay for and she gets the job done. Super cute. I ordered a medium and I'm about 5'5" and 135lbs and it fits perfect for my preference of not too tight but not too loose. I definitely love 30s 40s and 60s style dresses compared to the overdone 50s and 70s.

This dress is very pretty and light weight and comfortable. The fabric feels a little like soft nylon, but not in a bad way. I ordered the 4XL (16Plus – 18Plus) based on the size chart in the picture section. I usually fit to my bust. Even though my measurements fit pretty well into that size I wish I would have ordered a size smaller to get it a bit tighter in the midsection. I am fairly short-waisted and there was tons of room in the mid-section length. So, I think it would be a good dress even on a taller waisted person. On me, this went past the knees. My measurements: 5’3” tall with Bust: 45.5” /Waist: 38.5” / Hips 46”.

This dress is lovely and looks exactly like the stock photos. The wide waist band is very flattering and the print is classic and vivid. This is a lightweight dress (some sort of chiffon fabric with a thin liner attached to the inside) but very flouncy and came delivered without any wrinkles!There were some hanging threads and minor quality control issues with the buttons/button holes, but nothing that wasn't easily fixed with a pair of scissors.My main gripe is that I followed the size chart to a T, because bottom down tops often pull against my bust. I expected to have some fit issues with the waist, but unfortunately the whole thing seems to be sized down a bit from the size chart and while the waist fits perfectly, the bust area is tight and on the verge of gaping.I am a 34G so I am sure this dress would fit a smaller busted girl better. Just size down about 1"-2" from the size chart for a more accurate fit.

The dress is gorgeous and the material is nice. The pattern and style are exactly what I was looking for and you can't beat the price. However, the size I ordered was too small for me around the breast area and sadly this company doesn't offer dresses of this style in any larger size. Which is a major bummer because I think this would have been a very flattering dress for girls with a larger bust to wear. The top doesn't reveal cleavage, which makes it perfect for a number of events and purposes. Though it was too small, it was fitted nicely down to my natural waist where it flared out. The skirt wasn't very full so if you want a bigger skirt then you need to wear something under it. My only real complaint about the dress itself is that the buttons didn't seem to be attached really well and if I kept the dress I would want to sew them on a little better.

The fabric this dress is made of feels very scratchy and cheap. I'm tall (5'10") and wear a size 12/14, so I ordered an XL. The waist of the dress hit under my bust and was very unflattering. I decided to return it.

This is a really nice dress for the price. Excuse the creases, put it on as it arrived.I really like this dress: the fit is great on me, and it's very flattering. I'm 5ft8in, so dresses are often a bit on the short side, or the "under-boob-seam" doesn't quite go all the way over my boobs so I end up with the waist line starting a bit too high up.Really pretty floral pattern, lovely shade of blue.Love the neckline: can be worn as it comes, which is a rather demure and covered look, or folded/ironed back for a bit more of the girls on show.Not giving 5 stars for the following reasons:Unless I've gone blind (which is entirely possible) the dress has no zipper, which makes it a bit of a faff to put on, and as the buttons are the only way to get in/out they could have been attached better. I think I'll just give them a once over with a needle and thread, just to make sure I don't lose any.Fabric is not the nicest. It's thin and feels a bit cheap, but with the way it falls I can forgive that.All in all, really cute dress, good price, and I'll enjoy wearing it I think. I'm thinking I'll buy another one in a different colour if I still like it in a few weeks!Recommended.

This is a really cute dress and fits surprisingly well. Using the size guide, I went for the closest waist measurement which does mean it's a little bit big on the bust but it's not too bad.The black buttons aren't great and really loose, so I swapped them for cute ones I got for a couple of quid on eBay.Ok, the fabric's not the best quality but what do you expect for a dress under £20? Fabric quality doesn't show on the patterned version but I also ordered a plain one and it looked really cheap and weirdly the sizing was different (it was bigger) even though I bought the same size. That one went back.Overall, this is a pretty dress for a bargain, just don't expect wonders at this price.

Lovely material, bought for summer and wanted cool material. Perfect for hot days.I’m 5”4” and they come to just below my knee. I’m pear shaped and these are extremely flattering. Lovely colours, I’ll be ordering more!

I wore this dress at a 75 year celebration of the D-day events down in Brixham, Devon and several people commented on how lovely and appropriate it was for the occasion. I am a Linday Hop dancer so it was put to good use and very apt for the period it was aimed at.

Even though I got a 4X it was still way too small, more like a 1X. Not made for a big breasted girl, it’s made as if the person to wear this doesn’t have boobs. Other than that it was a nice length. I ended up cutting it up to make a skirt as I didn’t have time to send this back or get a new skirt in time for an event. Such a shame! Also the dress isn’t similar, but not the same as the pictures, especially round the waist.
