Great watch for the price!
I have several good quality watches but did not have an automatic, so ordered this Invicta based on reviews. I am very pleased with the watch. and it is now one of my favorites. The quality of workmanship and materials plus appearance are what you would expect in a much more expensive watch. Invicta watches are traditionally large and heavy, sometimes too much so, but his one is just right, having a fairly large face, solid weight and feel, yet the band is surprisingly comfortable. The watch looks good with just about any type of clothing. Additionally, most watches have too small of a date feature to easily read, but not this one! The design of the face makes it easy to tell the time and date at a glance! Something else I thought was impressive is that when I took it out of the box, with just that little amount of movement it immediately started running and has continued to do so without stopping. There was never any need to turn my wrist back and forth to get it to run or keep it running. I haven't yet determined how long it can run without wearing it because I haven't really taken if off except for overnight. It keeps excellent time as well. This is one of the best products I have ever purchased for the amount spent.

LOVE THIS MODEL OF INVICTA!!! HAS THE CASE & MOVEMENT OF A $500 TO $800 WATCH EASY!
i love these invicta divers that have either the citizen miyota auto movements in them or the incredible seiko NH35 auto hacking. if you look at numerous quality auto watches these days, both high capacity divers and military, you will find that if not swiss they will be using the NH35 seiko movement in them. it's incredible...most people find it keeps time as accurately as a chronometer, or nearly so. if regulated by a watchmaker, this movement will match the accuracy of a swiss chronometer. i've had that famous swiss brand that was the original Bond watch, and can tell you. so much for the movement. this grand diver is not the snorkeling sport watch invicta, which is a great piece you can usually get for just under $100. this one has the 300 meter/1000ft dive resistance, so it is indeed scuba/dive worthy. the case quality on these grand divers is superlative. again, you'll think you got one of those original Bond watches. looks wise too. invicta does not do a knock off of that iconic original Bond watch, but they have created what in the industry is called an 'homage' watch, which captures the essentials of the original, with a few styling differentials that are minor but make the piece not a knock off. rather, a style or type. and in fact rolex took their submariner watch from blancpain's 50s fathoms watch in the 50s, so don't let it get to you that this invicta has a similar style to another famous brand. that's watches. just know this is of the highest specifications for a timepiece that you could get for under $1500. and that pricepoint is not inflated. i've had plenty of swiss, as well as seikos, and this piece has one of the best seiko movements in it with a case construction equal to many seikos and mid-to-higher end swiss. i've about 3 of these in different styles. one with a cool wood dial. another i left on the bracelet (and this is one heck of a bracelet, with solid end links), and this one i just took off the bracelet and put on a commando strap with a bund back...very commando, Mr. Bond. it looks superb. everything else is great. the unidirectional bezel, solid and precise, screw in crown. hacking movement. ez set date. at $300, which is what they often sell these grand divers for, it's a no brainer. but if you look you can pick these up for at least 30% off, as i did here on amazon. you will not go wrong. NOTE: you hear fools talk about how their watches fogged up when they took them in the shower, or didn't keep accurate time when they wore it for a few hours a day. these people are dangerous to other watch enthusiasts. you never take a watch into a shower or hot tub, the heat expands the case and when it cools you will have H20 in your watch. ANY watch. and this is an auto watch...even the finest swiss chronometers will lose time if you wear it at your desk all day, or have it on for only a few hours. knocks on this xlnt timepiece like that are foolish. i'd get this right now if i were you. i'm me, and have 3 of these in other colors/dials already, and i got it. i love it.

My new favorite line!
I am not new to Invicta watches. My first Invicta was the 2 tone, gold on silver (Invicta Men's 9212 "Speedway") white face. I have had more complements on that watch than all others combined. I have always loved the “Automatic” watch with its jewels and gorgeous symphony of moving parts. It has only the past 5 or so years that I found an affordable one. I own the 2 tone cobalt blue 8928OB , and the silver and black face, Invicta Men's 8926 Pro Diver. I had my heart set on one of the newer 50 to 52mm big face watches. I settled for one of the Grand Pro Diver series claimed to be 47-48mm. The Invicta Men's 15843 Grand Pro Diver. It is a blue bezel with a silver face. When it arrived, Let me back up here, my previous collection of Men’s watches are 38 to 40mm dial size. This new Grand Pro Diver series are listed as 48mm. When I opened the box, I have to say, I was almost shocked, even a little nervous. This is a BIG watch. Sure, there are bigger watches out there but, this thing is BIG! I sized the band and tried it on. At first it feels a bit heavy but I have to say, in no time, I forgot the weight and began enjoying a serious time piece. This thing is beautiful! Several things have improved over the former series. The clasp is the most notable for me. It is heaver and highly polished. The bracelet end pieces are solid and mold the band around your arm. Some criticize the engravings on the case. To be honest, I stopped a purchase because I found that the one I was looking at did not have the “Invicta” on the case. This Grand Pro Diver has Invicta, laser etched on the opposite side of the crown and the words, Grand Diver on each side of the crown. I like everything about this watch and there is nothing that I dislike. In fact, I just ordered the, Invicta Men's 13927 Pro Diver Automatic, Red Dial Two Tone Stainless Steel and cannot wait to get it! I plan to sell my entire collection, including my Chase-Durer Pilot commander, All the Seiko’s and all the others. My new collection will only be Invicta automatics (And maybe a new speedway to replace my original 7 year old Speedway that’s worn but still runs perfect and looks good!). If you have never held an Invicta watch in your hand, you need to go to JP Penny or to a Mall where you can see one. The quality materials, the polish and craftsmanship is obvious. I looked at this blue watch in the ads and on the internet sites for more than a year and was not sold. My son was out with his girlfriend and saw it in a Mall Jewelry store. He called me and said, Dad That Invicta is "Cobalt blue"! It is hard to tell from the many photos as top what color this watch really is. If it’s not actual cobalt blue, it is close enough. It really turns heads. Ruby red is my favorite color but cobalt blue is a very close second place

Very attractive! New collection favorite!
This watch is extremely attractive and gets an A+ for good looks. It gets another 10 for sensible pricing. This is not a dive watch; it just looks like one. With a face of about 1" diameter, it is suitable for small wrists while packing a terrific visual WOW! However, what you get is different from what is suggested you will get. Having clarified a few points with the manufacturer's representative today, it is important to note this model watch – 8942 – has none of the attributes mentioned in general for GQ models; therefore, it is modestly priced. It is essentially like any other battery-operated analog watch. The bezel that does not move at all on this model; it is fixed permanently in place. It does not wind itself automatically with wrist movements. This model does not have a screw-down stem; it cannot be sealed and will be vulnerable to water which explains those customers who report humidity inside the watch. The narrative advises: "Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer." Reading the warranty we see the manufacturer recommends against wearing it in a spa or hot tub. Based on the reviews, loosely accurate detail and an existing watch collection, I purchased the $4.99 extended warranty. The reviews are mixed as to whether the extended warranty will produce results when a claim arises. The manufacturer’s representative advised being careful around water; do not submerge - it is NOT SUITABLE for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports. It is water resistant to 100', not waterproof. It is "Not suitable for diving" as correctly stated. As many reviews have mentioned, they’ve been under water with this watch and it is ticking just fine. My greatest known risks will be filling dog water bowls, adding water to the golf cart batteries and similar adventures! If I do rescue a drowning person or pet, it will not matter what became of the watch.

This Grand Diver by Invictus. Is a very nice time piece, with some reservations. For the price I'm very happy with the purchace. But I have 3 things I would change to make it the perfect diver. 1. ITS BIG. compared to other, more expensive divers watches its very thick and heavy. I know invicta fans like that but it's no longer fashionable and while this watch isn't over board like some of the invicta's a millimeter or two thiner and it really would compete with the big boys for looks. 2. A satin finish rather than the high shine finish would have been a little classier and lesser gaudy. 3. It's Bloody heavy! Like I said I like this watch and for the money it's an amazing watch and I can whole heartedly recommend it UDATE. I cannot take this watch off. It has become one of my favorite daily wears. It's sturdy. Clean looking keeps impeccable time and gets lots of compliments. My previous comments still stand but rest assured you won't be disappointed by this timepiece.

Great looking watch!
I bought this for a good looking everyday watch. If I scratch it, I'm not going to cry myself to sleep. I like a little larger sized watch, so I went with this 47mm but I wouldn't go anymore. It's got the Seiko nh35a movement which is very reliable. People complain about the Invicta branding all over it, but it's an homage watch that isn't trying to be a Rolex. My only complaint I have against Invicta watches is the lume. Wish they could use the same brightness of lume that Steeldive watches use. Also it's a yellow-geeen color instead of white. Other than that you can't beat these watches for durability and value for the money! Also love the blue second hand and minute lines. Would like to see them do that with maybe a couple other colors. Nothing crazy, just nice and subtle.

Perfect size and looks great!
If you are concerned about this watch being small... read on. Just got this watch and love it so far, and it looks great! As for the watch being small. I was a bit concerned when a few of the reviews described it as "incredibly small" "would not have bought if I knew it would be this small" and worst of all "dainty". Ok, well, I am NOT a dainty person and this concerned me greatly. One reviewer described themselves as a "rough and tough" person. I guess this would describe me. At least I am rough and tough on watches. Therefore, I do not wear dainty things. If I wore anything "dainty", necklace, watch, wristband, ring, it would get destroyed in just one day. Just because I am a physical person, athletic, etc. and I work outdoors at a physical job. Let me put it this way, I have busted both leather and metal watchbands simply by flexing my wrist. Ok. So, I am not the hulk, but I am not petite either. I wear feminine items, just not real frail ones. This watch is slightly smaller than my unisex watch that I wear for work (physical job). It is neither "dainty", nor "incredibly small". It is simply an average size for a women's watch, if not slightly larger than the average women's watch. Smaller or the same size as a unisex watch, about half the size of a men's watch. Like I said, I was really concerned due to the statements in reviews, and now that I've gotten the watch, I am happy to say that it is perfect. Some reviewers have stated that the date is too small and hard to read. The watch face has a magnifier over the date which makes the date perfectly readable. The wrist band with the watch attached fits about a 7.5" wrist, not much larger than that. The links are easily removed for adjusting. If you require more finite adjustments you can move the pins on the clasp up or down the clasp to lengthen or shorten the band. Having said all that, if you like big bulky clunky men's watches with a big giant face on your arm, then you won't like this watch. I will add, that I am not a diver and although I plan on making use of the rotating bezel, I think that if you are in a situation where you would have lots of gear on, in water, etc. that you may find the smaller watch face/bezel difficult to manipulate. If you are in water and or moving around, it may also be difficult to read the dial. So... it may be that divers may find it small. For every day wear or work wear, it's the perfect size.
