With Polyethylene Jacket, this item has very high Resistance to UV degradation and excellent resistance to External & Internal Abrasion. highly suited as replacement bungee for kayaks and canoes, camping and other outdoor application. Will not become "hairy" like ordinary shock cord.

5/16" shock cord used in project for my granddaughters
Worked well in the project I purchased it for. Longevity will determine final rating but everything looks very satisfactory at this point in time. Thank you.

Great product!
I have gone through a few "quality" shock cords and this one is by far the best cord and value. I use it in outdoor applications and it will withstand the weather
