Arrived fast, works well.
Arrived pretty fast. Easy to make an antenna with these, but you need an analyser or a swr meter to tune it. Robust enough, will see how well it copes with the weather.

Needs a continuity tester
This is a good product but there is no +/- mark on terminals so needs a tester or multimeter to determine the centre core terminal if using vertically. Obviously no problem if horizontal.

Very useful
Very useful. Enabled me to make a 4m dipole for a fraction of the cost of a factory made antenna....And works just as well !

Five Stars
Not made much use of it yet, but it works well and beats anything home made for the size!

At this price, why make your own?
It's just an SO-239 socket in a plastic mounting -- you could make the same thing with a socket, a couple of nuts and bolts, and a bit of soldering. But when a ready-made one is this cheap, why bother? This unit is robust and effective, and excellent value for money. And it works -- but why wouldn't it? It's just a wiring point. In case it's not obvious from the description, this unit does contain any kind of balun or choke -- it's just a way to connect a coax cable to a pair of dipole wires. You may not need a balun -- I just thread a few turns of the coax through a ferrite just below the connection point, and that works fine for me.
