Pathfinder PTH004 Canteen Cup Lid, Grey

ProsStrong construction, not thin or flimsyD ring handle stands upright (still new however)fits nicely in the bottom of the canteen coverConsHad to modify my USGI cups to fit them. I have the aluminum cups so it wasn't hard to open up the curved side with a hammer and channel lock pliers to fit the lid. It's not a tight fit, but the lid only rattles when I wiggle the cup. It does not bounce off or fall in.

These are nice looking and well made. They sit on top of the canteen cup but not really in the lip. Some of the 60's style Stainless Steel canteen cups it fits well, 1 of mine did, but 2 out of 3 of mine that I checked did not fit. The lid is wider than the section at the narrowest point across 2 of the 3 I tried. This kind of thing has pretty wide tolerance for manufacturing in Gov't contracts and there are almost always multiple suppliers. I bought two covers and they fit 1 of my canteens, but I have more I can try later. It's also possible that my canteens could have got mixed up with aftermarket somewhere along the line. Not likely but possible.

This was a perfect fit for my GI issue canteen cup with butterfly handles. Great addition to my GI canteen cook set.

A perfect fit! Heavy enough to stay put, but light enough for long treks.

Like others, I can attest the lid is well made. However, the lid does not fit my USGI Wyott manufactured, stainless steel, butterfly handle cup. The cup probably could be modified to allow an acceptable fit, but I have a home made lid that will continue to work just as well.

Fits my cups, strains my noodles, lets out that steam, I love it.Just wish price was better.
