The item looks generic and does not represent the one shown on the website, especially the brand and model. This one does not have gold plating on connector that was shown in the pictures, and the quality doesn't look the same. There's no branding whatsoever! Just imagine other sellers with a "different" brand selling the exact same item, so bad reviews for other ones could mean this one is not as great as people are saying on this page. Also, the websites states this is USB 3.0 compatible, which is not shown on the package, and the connector isn't blue, which is normally an indicator of the USB 3.0 standard.UPDATE: The band speed is lower on the packaging than the advertised specifications as well.UPDATE 2: It works pretty well but I am just a little disappointed in the advertising.UPDATE 3: Still working fairly well to this day, noticed reduced real-time speed but could be my browser and other things interfering. Speed tests still show a good amount of speed but I haven't seen 170+ mbps down anymore but I think could be something else causing this, like the server. I really like the build quality, and the device doesn't heat up. The signal is decent, it is definitely improved over other products with an antenna but they don't really enhance the signal, this one actually appears to work, and fairly well too; I'm using 5Ghz connection. I have not had many issues with this other than random "connected, no internet access" dns errors months ago, which I believe is my ISP because my PS4 has been having issues ever since I switched, and my other wifi antennas used to have it a lot worse, while this device's quality and performance has been fairly consistent for months, which surprised me. I recommend this to anyone looking for a wifi adapter that's both good and inexpensive.

Bought this for my desktop computer which doesn't have Wifi capability. Before I got this usb wifi adapter, I used to use an ethernet cable for connection to the internet. But the cable is too long approximately 50 feet. Looked like a mess at home. What's more,it was not safe for my little baby. Until I ordered this wireless wifi adapter, it solved all my concerns. It's fast and no need to worry a possible loss of internet speed. Highly recommend.

I love this adapter it is a beast on both 2.4 and 5g I have put it thru a tough text and it passed with flying colors it is super fast and very responsive. It was a breeze to hook up and the setup was very easy to understand. It works great in the back of my house where I had little to no signal now with this adapter I have full signal and no lag or refreshing when watching Netflix. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great wifi adapter this was the best choice for one that want break the bank and works.

We have only had this for a few weeks. It was very easy to install and we have had no problems with it thus far. My only complaint is the tiny disc we were supposed to use to load the drivers (I'm guessing). It turned out to be totally unnecessary and caused us a bit of a problem as it broke inside the disc unit and we couldn't get all the pieces out without a lot of difficulty. So my recommendation is to get the drivers if needed from their website instead of using the disc.

This USB WiFi came just like expected. I was able to plug it in and it directed me right where I needed to go to install the Drive. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was. Now my son has asked me for the same WiFi connector for his desktop in his room, he is tired of using the long Old fashioned Cat5 Cord Ethernet cord to connect to the internet!

This WiFi adapter worked perfectly on a Windows 10 system and was a simple plug and play product. The additional software on the provided disc was completely not necessary for the adapter to work perfectly though. I really don't recommend installing it as I saw no benefit and ended up removing it. The adapter always works (even after a system restart) and a speed test provided results identical to my LAN connection on another PC. I highly recommend this.

Using this adaptor for my laptop, which did not have 5ghz band. Installation was easy and the 5Ghz band made the internet speed amazingly fast. The connection is stable and reliable. The App gives a lot of the control to select between 5Ghz and 2.4 Ghz and you can even create a profile to store your favorite connection characteristics.It the lowest priced dual band WiFi adaptor on amazon, however it works wonderfully. Love this product and it is another great product from China. Thank you.

Working well, for some reason Win10 will not allow me to turn on manually (nor does it do automatically) must unplug and replug to get to work for some reason, probably just need to reinstall Win 10.UPDATE: 2/20Reinstalled clean windows 10, still the same, defaults to manual mode, and you cannot toggle manual mode ON.Must disconnect and reconnect to be able to turn on.Going to replace this one with a Bluetooth enabled one that does both WiFi and Bluetooth
