Simple, efficient, attractive, and easy to use.
This was bought to upgrade a Presonus AudioBox USB that I got in 2013, which still works perfectly as intended, but is no longer sufficient for my needs. This unit covered every upgrade I needed for that system. There were not many of these available but I knew it was what I wanted. If you can't find one in stock at a fair price, any Presonus unit in the same range should be equally sufficient, but cost may vary greatly. Recording and playback are equally impressive. It is used for guitar, bass, and vocals, and does so quite well. It has been used now for several months and works as perfectly as it did on day one. It's a good size. Not too big or small and it easily fits into tighter spaces. No external power is needed as it runs off of the USB connection. It is very much a plug-and-play unit, simple and efficient. My only complaint on the whole interface, just like the box I replaced, is that there is no front option for the headphones. I hate that all of my headphone cables are permanently bent from always having to run them to the rear of these units. Even with that complaint, I give it 5 stars for what it is. The only reason to rate it lower would be if I was comparing it to larger, more powerful units.

Easy to set up and sounds phenomenal
I bought this so that I could record my Behringer Neutron synthesizer in my DAW. I had never done anything like this before so I was a little hesitant on what brand and model to get. I settled on the 24c and it has everything I will need for a long while, including Midi Ports on the back. The comparable Scarlett model does not and is slightly more expensive. Once I installed the universal control and plugged it in, it was ready for use and I was able to record within 5 min. Plus, although I did not need it, it came with Studio One Artist, Ableton Live Lite, Music Loops, VST plugins and more. It really is a great deal!

Works great on my M1 MacBook Pro
Very nice interface. Like the metering display on the front. The knobs on the right are a bit cluttered for me, though, and I'd prefer a headphone jack on the front. Sound quality is excellent - the same or MAYBE slightly better than my Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen. Best of all, it works GREAT on my M1 Silicon MacBook Pro! Here's my use case in case you're curious: From the PreSonus website I downloaded and installed the Universal Control v3.4.1.63149 for macOS software (not sure if that was needed, but didn't hurt.) Hooked up the PreSonus to my M1 MacBook Pro using a StarTech USB-C Cable (TBLT3MM2M) - didn't try the cable included in the box. Ran a line out Y cable from my cassette player to the two inputs on the PreSonus. Then used Audacity on the Mac to record - worked perfectly! Was able to rip a cassette to .WAV file. Sounds amazing. Not sure on other use cases, but that's what worked for me. Although ultimately I prefer the more simple interface of the Scarlett, if I walked into a room and was told I had to use this PreSonus with the M1 MacBook Pro I'd feel confident and excited about it. Enjoy!

Useful for laptop/desktop, not so useful for mobile device
I like the presonus 24c. the four meters are great, two for the inputs, and two for the mains. The mains are useful when using the headphone jack. The inputs are useful for quick gain adjustments. The idea of a single USB-C port for both power and data is great. But in practice, I found it somewhat wanting. With a laptop, it's actually very nice as it's a single cable for both, and the sound stays very clean. But for connecting to a tablet, it's less useful. iPads don't send out enough power through the lightning port or the new usb-c port to power up the 24c. So, you need some kind of hub in between that handles both powering and data pass-through to the iPad. I don't have any such hubs, but even if I bought one, it's one more thing to carry. If I have to run off a usb battery, then that's 4 things to carry, not including the mic and headphones. So, I would have preferred split ports with the option to run data and power through a single port, or the option to run data through one port and power through another. A simple toggle switch to determine which is preferred. A lot of audio interfaces in the same price range do this. Those devices use older USB interfaces, and frankly, for those devices, the single-port-for-both-power-and-data options is not good, nowhere near the cleanliness of the presonus. But still, I would prefer that choice. I also with the xlr inputs were in the back and the headphone jack was in the front. Seems like most interfaces have the xlr inputs in the front. Not something I prefer, but oh well. Though this may be a lot to ask for such a cost effective device, it would have been nice to have a couple of HPF options and a couple of limiter options. But for the price, maybe that's pushing the desire a bit. I currently have a sound devices 302 in front of the presonus to handle HPF and limiter duties. A rather expensive way to go, but it works well. All in all, a great little device. clean sound, easy to use potentiometers, simple button for phantom powering, indicator for USB power on. For under $200, damn impressive.

Vendedor sempre me respondeu, e me deu um brinde quando chegou o produto.

After nearly two months with the PreSonus Studio 24c replacing my broken Zoom U-24, I can confidently say this interface delivers where it matters most whilst revealing some frustrating design choices that hold it back from perfection. The Good Stuff The sound quality genuinely impressed me. Those XMAX-L preamps aren't marketing fluff - they're noticeably cleaner than what I had before, with enough headroom to handle my dynamic microphone without needing a cloudlifter. For content creation work like voiceovers and streaming, the clarity is spot-on. The 24-bit/192kHz capability means my recordings have that professional sheen that makes editing a pleasure rather than a chore. USB-C connectivity feels properly modern, and the bus-powered design means one less wall wart cluttering my desk. The metal construction feels reassuringly solid - this isn't going to fall apart if you're lugging it between locations. Where it gets frustrating The control layout is genuinely maddening. Five knobs crammed together on the front panel with the phantom power button squeezed in between - it's like they designed it for people with fairy fingers. I've accidentally knocked settings whilst reaching for the mix control more times than I care to admit. The headphone jack being round the back is another head-scratcher for anyone who actually uses headphones regularly. Against the competition Having researched extensively, the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 consistently gets more expert recommendations, and I can see why - its layout is far more sensible. However, the Studio 24c has proper MIDI I/O, which the Scarlett lacks. For the same money, you're getting more connectivity options, even if they're packaged less elegantly. The Behringer alternatives cost less but reviews consistently mention more electronic noise. At this price point (around £70 used), the PreSonus hits a sweet spot between the budget options and the premium interfaces. The software bundle Studio One Artist is genuinely useful - far better than the basic DAWs usually bundled with interfaces. I didn't bother with most of the other included software, but having a proper DAW included adds real value. Bottom line This interface does exactly what I bought it for without fuss. The sound quality justifies the price, the build feels professional, and it's been completely reliable. Yes, the control layout is annoying, and yes, there are more user-friendly options available. But if you can live with reaching round the back for headphones and being careful with those cramped controls, you're getting excellent audio performance that'll serve you well for years. It's not the most elegant solution, but it's a proper tool that gets the job done without breaking the bank. After using various budget interfaces over the years, this strikes the right balance between price and performance for someone who needs clean audio without the premium price tag. Just wish they'd sort out that control layout in the next revision.
