This product seems to work well. I have Hemolytic Anemia and I had to go have my hemoglobin checked all of the time. So to have the ability to check at home was important. I have tested the meter to my local lab when I have had labs completed two times. The meter matched the lab results both times. I recommend this product. It ships from out of the country but is a very good product. Especially for someone with a chronic illness who needs close monitoring.

Completely inaccurate! This meter told us that my dad (who has thalassemia, a severe form of anemia) that my dad’s hemoglobin was 4.2. Understandably panicked we rushed to his hemotologist to find out his hemoglobin was actually 7.4 (which is good for him). Just tried to give it another chance, told use his hemoglobin was 12.4 (it has never been that high in his life) and 1 minute later it said it was 4.6. Was excited for this purchase but am now going to have to return this meter.

Accurate testing as of about 50 tests. Results are always within acceptable limits when compared to blood drawn testing.

This purchase was a complete disappointment.

This hemoglobin meter appears to be accurate. It gave similar results to my most recent hgb lab value. It comes with 50 test strips in 2 sealed containers (25 each). It takes 3 AAA batteries (not included). It doesn't include a lancet. It comes with a nice soft sided carrying case. The item shipped from Hong Kong and arrived in 7 days, even though I payed for 2 day shipping.

Bought this for my father, he suffers from random GI bleeding and usually finds out very late in the episode that he needs a transfusion. Instead of waiting for a lab order, he can now check his hemoglobin at home if he's not feeling right. Upon the meter's arrival my father and brother played with it and easily figured out how to work it - they both tested their hgb; brother was normal, father was low but thankfully not dangerously low. He had a CBC scheduled for later in the week, and decided to test again right after the "official" test. The meter gave a hgb=9.4, the official lab report gave a hgb=9.6; excellent correlation. We are very pleased!
