Step2 Lift and Hide Bookcase Storage Chest for Kids - Durable Plastic Toy Box Bookshelf Organizer, White/Red

I was getting desperate. The kids toys were in regular gray plastic storage boxes and not everything fit, so there were toys everywhere! Plus, to get the kids to clean up was like pulling teeth! I did my research and decided to buy these. I bought two of these, one for my son (red) and one for my daughter (pink). All of their toys fit in there with room to spare. These boxes are less expensive than others and plastic, but they are roomy, safe, sturdy and I like the shelves...they can put books and/or toys there. Assembly was not difficult and I really don't see the screws as a safety issue at all. I usually let my husband assemble things but I looked at the instructions and thought "how hard can this be?" It wasn't hard at all. I had both put together in less than 30 minutes. The toy boxes are white which isn't the greatest, but I let my kids decorate with wall stickers:  RoomMates RMK1170SCS Graphic Flowers Peel & Stick Wall Decals  & RoomMates RMK1045SCS Amazing Spider-Man Peel & Stick Wall Decals .Most importantly the kids enjoy their toy boxes and they do help more with putting away their toys without complaining! I finally gained some sanity in our house!

This product is very well worth the purchase and very simple to assemble. It’s steady for the rough horse playing of children. It’s spacious fit for so many toys. Also a easy cleanup surface.

my daughter had one of these when she was little and now her son has one they are highly durable and very well-made. They hold a lot.

This is a great toy bucket but be aware that the lid isn't attached to anything. It slides up into a channel under the bookshelf. It can slide off if you aren't careful when you open it. Not a big issue for an adult but small children may have trouble lifting it. Overall I love the convenience of having a shelf and bucket for all my child's toys and books.

I have one child which means I think I have cleaned out most toy stores in town. The problem is that I ran out of places to put things. I was so happy when I found this storage chest. I had another that I was thinking about buying but this one came with a shelf. It arrived in two pieces and is very easy to assemble. The top piece (the bookshelf) slides into the base piece and is assembled by two screws. Now - I have read reviews about the screws showing or being potentially dangerous - THEY ARE NOT. The screws are secure in the plastic and are not exposed to the children in any way shape or form. It is true that the shelf is not deep but it holds about four of my sons's toys (some may use it for books which looks as if it would work fine). I keep his rings, Baby Einstein Piano, Learning Pig, and Learning Cookie Jar on the shelf (to give you an idea of depth, length, and height). The top shelf is open and I use it to hold his lamp and white noise machine. The actual storage - WOW! Every toy he has fits in there with room for more. It is wide, it is deep, and the lid is very easy to open and close - he can do it himself. It is very sturdy and child friendly - my son has already tried to climb it.

I really really love this toy box. It’s bigger than I expected, which I expected it to be very small. Super easy to assemble, it comes in 3 big pieces with 2 screws. It fits books on the shelf that are the size of a regular Dr. Seuss book, but anything taller probably won’t fit. Not a big deal, we just put the bigger books on top as shown in the picture.Also, I put SO MANY toys in this toy box and it’s not even halfway full. Amazing!

Durable, very much worth the money.

Love the set up, love the storage, love the size. But the lid sucks. You can slid it up with ease but putting the sucker back down is a nightmare, it falls out if you dont line it up just right. I have a 4 month old son so he's not old enough to really use it, but I grew up with boys and they are not gentle enough, hell I wasn't gentle enough to pay that much attention to closing a TOY BOX lid. Kinda disappointed in Step 2, I grew up with Step 2 and it was way better quality than this. Going to have to modify lid so it doesn't fall out.
