iHome iHM4 Portable Speaker Case for iPod, iPhone, and MP3 Players (Silver)

All of the technical and performance aspects of this product are fine. I really like the on off switch, the sound quality, the open / close zipper. The weight of the case is also good.My only problem is that my brand new IPOD Touch 7 does not fit into the case if the speaker wire is plugged in. With the speaker connect "plugged in the IPOD will not fit into the case in a manner that allows the screen or "touch" surface to contact the surface of the case designed for the purpose of allowing "touch screen" to change the tune you are listening to. I'm sure it is perfect for IPOD Nanos or smaller IPOD, but no where in the product specs is this failure to fit later model "IPOD Touch" mentioned, It is described as an IPOD Speaker Case.

When I first saw this product, I thought 2 different things.1) it looks super small2) I don't know if it will be able to do the job right.I was wrong on both things.This is a definate buy if you are using it just for you or it has 2 headphone jacks which is really cool cause I'm going on vacation with a friend so now both of us can listen to music.I just got it today, but the sound quality is pretty cool and the case is hard solid.My only slight complaint is that it is a little tricky to work the circle wheel, but that's basicly all for my complaints. It was kinda hard to figure out how to put it in, but once it was in, it fit nice and snug, and easy to get back out too.Someone mentioned something about bulky? That comment made me nervous, but I bought it anyway and um, excuse me, but would you rather have something that is small and breakable and has no sound quality OR protection, or would you have this which I have to admit is bigger but has great protection at a rather cheap price?I say this is a must-have for people who don't want actual speaker docks that are quite expensive and just want something to take around with them.I am a 15-year-old teen who loves music, so I highly recommend this.I personally think this is the best iPod product I have seen.

The clear plastic that covers the face on this itouch is too loose and not pulled tight. This makes this product difficult to use the itouch it covers because you cannot push the icons. The first case I bought like this works great. On the first case, the plastic covers the itouch so securely it's hard to remove itouch from case. So, I now know they are not all the same. Disappointing. The other attributes of the case are great.

I read the reviews and it seemed like a good deal. The Sound quality for the tiny speakers is decent. It arrived quick and in good shape.BUT... When I read it did not come with a jack to be able to plug it in, I just thought it did not come with a plug and cord. No biggie I have one which works with almost anything. But what everyone meant is that THERE is NO JACK on the speakers itself to plug into. I thought people would want this clarification.It has two head phone jacks and a on/off Switch - No volume no big deal for me. Will hold quite a large ipod or iphone and has an insert to do so.For the most part it is a nice item. i will have to see if some electronic genius can add a power jack to it.

I bought this case for my iPod Touch mainly for use when I go golfing or camping. For those activities I have really enjoyed useing this product. When I first got it, it was much bigger than I expected. I would use it alot more if not for the bulk of the thing. Besides the size, the only other downside is the ease of use. Getting my ipod into the case isn't difficult, it's just a chore to do so. Once you get your device into the case, I suggest you have planned in advance to leave it in there for the duration of whatever activity you have in mind. I would also recomend having your device fully charged because you cannot charge your device while it is in the case. Another thing that would have been usefull is an external volume control. On my touch, this is only a minor bother when useing apps like my kids sing along that does not have a volume control built into the app, if I were able to use the external volume controls on my device this would have not been an issue. The upside is that I feel very comfortable now taking my ipod outside with me to play. After my recent camping trip I was greatfull the case was durable enough to protect my ipod from drops that would have no doubt caused scratches and for preventing a larg amount of dust from even landing on it.

I returned this. This was big and bulky. The strap wasn't as long as it appeared and the sound quality was just ok. Better speakers out there.

This unit is not meant to wear around your neck to take walks with, it's a bit big and heavy for that! It is however great for travel to have in a motel room when you want a break from earbuds or share your music.No it's Not BOSE, but it didn't claim to be. The sound is just fine. Not what you get from your iHome stereo at home unit. It sounds just fine for it's intended use.The 80GB ipod fits quite secure in the unit. No movement at all. I will admit the adjustment of volume thru the clear plastic protector is not easy so I just set the volume first and all is well.Very durable hard shell case. Has double earphone jacks do 2 could listen at the same time if you care to.I looked at many portable speakers and this one was the best as far as also being the storage of the ipod and protecting it, two speakers, portable size, and not to be forgotten it is pink....need I say more?

It worked great at first. I bought it to take to the pool and beach. It was difficult to change songs and sound due to the pertective plastic being so thick, but if thats what keeps it dry, I'll deal. If the sound quality was better and the speakers wouldnt have blown, I would give it 2 thumbs up.
