Fantastic experience
I wasn’t sure about this upon purchasing but after playing through all of the supplied investigations (and since ordering the Noir expansion) I can say that playing Chronicles of Crime with my friends has been one of the best gaming experiences. We finished one of the investigations last night and a friend said it actually gave them goose bumps as the story progressed and confirmed we were on the right track. This game is all about discussion and trying to figure out everyone’s motives. It’s so well written and I can’t wait for more content and expansions. To address some of the negative comments; we play with one person in control of the app (the app is great and hasn’t once crashed or caused any problems), who then reads the text to everyone, kind of like a dungeon master. Then we all discuss what we should do next and what we think is going on and who’s doing what. We use notepads for everyone to take their own notes on too. The time constraints really add pressure on which leads to follows. We love it.

Original, collaborative mix of board game and app that engages everyone well with the theme.
This is an original idea, crime stories supported by an App. It works well as a cooperative board game and the VR crime scene analyses are great fun, everyone wants a go, even the not so young and tech minded but everyone remains involved. We had great fun playing over a Christmas. It can feel a little like random scanning at some points. Clues and cards don’t always totally match. Once you’ve played a few probably need a break for a period to reignite the suspension of disbelief required to submerge in the theme. But overall definitely worth my pennies and looking forward to playing more stories.

Great game. Limited content
A clever and original detective game. You need the app to play, but it integrates very well and the interactive/AR crime scenes are a highlight of play. The 5 cases that come with the game are great, but sadly as they are a one-and-done experience you're likely to run out of content fast.More scenarios are available to download, but this ramps up the real cost of the game and should be worth noting going in.There are even other themed expansions available, but again, this ramps up cost. You're looking at the best part of £5 per extra scenario, so if you really like this game it's going to cost you.Financials aside a really fun experience and a great game in and of itself.

Absolute Gold.
This game brings together technology and classic board game style to create a fun and completely immersive crime fighting experience. The use of VR technology is optional as VR videos can be played without a headset. Tutorial get you playing without the need to read massive rulebooks.Game time on box is slightly sorter than I've experienced. with games usually lasting around 2 hours instead of 90 minutes, Time really does fly.

Easy to play
Really fun to play. Easy game mechanics.

Not much playability
It's a great idea and fun to play however you only get five scenarios and they're not repayable. Any further scenarios have to each be bought separately for a few quid a pop. Feels outrageous to buy a game and only get a few hours of play before being asked to spend more.

Bought for a friend
And she loved it. It was played by a group of friends at an 18th BD weekend and much enjoyed. I regretted not buying her the VR Glasses that can be used with the game. I'm still hoping she might offer me a chance to play the game one day cos I'm pretty sure nothing is destroyed when playing! The game is co-op & also uses an app & VR.

Crime game
Not everything should need an app. This is a swing and a miss
