This is a very solid garlic press. We used to own one of those acrylic "twist" types. Worked well for many years but eventually one of the teeth broke. What I liked about this press here is how it minced the garlic. The twist model would sometimes leave bigger chunks. Overall I prefer minced, so this did well for that.As the garlic would press out of the bottom, it was very easy to slide a toothpick across it to scrape it off into a bowl. That same toothpick made getting all the bits out from inside the bowl area easy as well.I suggest rinsing or soaking the press immediately after you are done...we all know garlic can freeze up pretty quick, which would make cleanup hard in this case. But even if a few holes were clogged, you still had your handy toothpick.The issue we had was that after less than 6 months of use, the inside "metallic" coating of the barrel itself began to peel. I contacted the seller to make them aware. They were responsive, and it should be noted that they refunded the purchase. I did not ask them to do this, so I give them credit for that.If Amazon allowed it I would give this 3.5 stars, but given what happened I cannot award 4 stars for this. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

My cousin was complaining that we didn’t have a garlic press when she was helping us make dinner one night and she had to chop the garlic, so I found this on Amazon and got it within 2 days! Where has this been all my life? It works great and finely minces the garlic. An added bonus is that it also comes with a sleeve that peels the garlic easy peasy which was a nice surprise! This is easy to use and also very easy to clean.

I've used plastic pressers in the past, but I think I'll stick to this style of steel crushers as they extract much more garlic and juice than I could have expected. Even when using this with older garlic cloves, I was able to get nearly all of the garlic clove presses and "minced" The end result of the pressing was twofold, the first being mushy garlic and dripping juices while the second was the remaining skin of the pieces in the press. I was able to easily crush about 4 full cloves with no issues, though the cleaning of the press was the hardest thing for me as the residual pieces out of the strainer section, especially with the poorly made included cleaning brush; the fibers began to fray almost immediately. Best way for me was to use the end of a rag or submerge the head in water and THEN scrub until clean.

I have owned many garlic presses and they all had problems. This one is just about the worst. It is made of stainless steel which is why I bought it. That is the only good thing about it. It is incapable of pressing the crushed garlic clove through the holes. You get a little bit of juice and pulp but the rest gets flattened inside the crusher. The leverage is bad so it is really hard for even someone who is pretty strong to operate. My wife can't even get a little juice or pulp no matter how hard she tries.

This small item makes garlic press easier. And I like it once I used it for the first time. It is so useful to save energy and makes life beautiful. As an Asian, we can not eat without garlic, but how to crush it is pretty difficult and I hate to do so tidous work! But when I looked through the website of Amazon, I bought it with attampting. I will definitely recommend it to my friends. In a word, this is a good experience from e-shopping.

It is very convenient for cooking. I don't need to dice the garlic by myself anymore. :) I was always worry about hurting myself when diced small garlic. It is no more a question. The quality is good. It is shinny, solid and works well, also save your time. But you do need some strength to press it. I assigned this job to my boyfriend. :) It is easy to ask him to press it than to ask him dicing garlic. :) The brush and the peeler make it a good set, ease the work for peeling garlic and cleaning.

The mincer doesn’t mince all of the garlic. I’m wasting so much when using it. Super disappointed that it doesn’t go all the way down. I don’t recommend this.

This press is nice & sturdy. Does the job well. I just pick the garlic skin out with a little knife after use and rinse with hot water to clean. I LOVE the garlic peeler! A brisk rub on the counter with a little pressure & the garlic is peeled! Also use a hot water rinse on it. I haven't used the little cleaning brush. No need that I can see.

An sich eine stabile & robuste Knoblauchpresse komplett aus Edelstahl. Wäre da nicht dieses kleine Problem:Der Hohlraum, wo der Knoblauch zum Pressen rein kommt, besteht nicht aus einem Stück. Er ist an den Enden offen! Das heißt, durch zu großen Druck (in meinem Fall Ingwer) drücken sich die Seiten auseiner und es entsteht eine große Lücke, wo alles ungepresst raus kommt.Ich habe die Seiten schon mehrfach wieder zusammen gedrückt. Allerdings hat es dauerhaft keinen Sinn und nervt nur noch.Für Menschen, die zwischendurch Mal eine Zehe Knoblauch pressen, reicht es vielleicht. Für die anderen, wie mich, die auch regelmäßig seinen Ingwer für den Tee pressen, empfehle ich diese Presse definitiv nicht!Anbei ein Paar Fotos, die das Problem bildlich darstellen.Ich hoffe, damit weiter geholfen zu haben.

Wow! As a keen home cook I was fed up with my old garlic press and the fiddly attempts at cleaning it, so much so that I used to buy the pre minced tubes. When lockdown started my local supermarket didn’t have any and I had no choice but to go back to garlic bulbs. In desperation I bought this after reading the reviews, with the hope that it would make cooking a joy again. The shape and size of the compartment make cleaning it so much easier and more efficient. I love it and I’m going to save on the cost and plastic waste of pre made garlic paste!

Aber damit ging der Knoblauch nie richtig durch sondern auch immer an den Seiten vorbei. Bei dieser Presse geht alles dahin wo es soll. Das Körbchen ist gross genug um auch etwas dicker Zehen aufzunehmen. Also ich kann diese Presse empfehlen. Vom Gewicht etwas schwere als die günstigen . Deswegen kann man besser pressen. Ich nutze sie auch für frischen Ingwer . Ergebniss top.

Don't normally review stuff but this deserves credit..I have owed loads of different styles of garlic press and always end up with the same problems, handles break on the plactic handles, the press itself gets clogged up so have to clean in half way through use, gaps in the side so when I press down you only get half the garlic. In nearly all of them I had to peel the garlic first to relieve these symtoms which is time consuming, messy and makes your hands smell for ages.I took a chance on this one after being so fed up of mess all over me and non in my meals and WOW I am so glad I did.Takes all cloves large or small, fully skins, it is easy to press and nearly all the garlic apart from skin goes where i need it, in the food thanks to the square hole design and the sealed style mechanism. I can then grab the skin by finger tip or my fork and discard. Mine did also come with a brush to help clean out the skin and clear the holes but I have never needed to use it. I also noticed that I need less garlic now as I have no waste.Cleaning is easy too, pull the handle all the way out and everything opens up for access. I normally do this then place it in dishwasher and it comes out spotless.It is by far the best press I have ever used.

I read a lot of reviews before choosing this one, because it had no or very few pictures of it braking. This price might seem like a bit much for a garlic squeezer but trust me its worth it. I was very very happy when i tried it. So design is nice, it doesnt pinch your hand when you squeeze it and metal feels sturdy, i dont think it will break anytime soon. The holes from which garlic comes out are quite big, so its easy to use even with unpeeled garlic or slices of ginger. Although some of the garlic skin bits may be squeezed through as well so better to peel it anyway. After using it there is nothing left in the squeezer, but garlic peel. And the most important thing for me is that garlic doesint come out through the top or the sides of the press. It seals perfectly without gaps. I was looking for this feature and found it. Its worth every penny.
