I am a person who learns visually, so this is the perfect manual for me. Other manuals tell you how to do something, but the fact that this omnes shows you a picture and then tells you wht to do is so helpful. I have recommended it to my friends who are also new to the I-Pad world.

The increased my understanding of the capabilities of the iPad! It helped with the settings that should be used. The fact that Amazon forced this review to move on sucks!

This book was very useful to me as the I-Pad came without instructions as Apple wanted me to sign up for a course at a local store, which happened to be booked-up solid for months. I haven't needed the course because this book answered my questions. The visuals were also helpful.

Borrowed this book from the library when I first got my ipad last month. it was so helpful, I had to have my own copy. I'm teaching myself all kinds of neat stuff on the ipad and loving it. Thank you!!!

Very visually oriented and good for basic to intermediate depth for the iPad. It is not intended as an in depth reference but will get you going in most areas. The book was mailed promptly and I received it much quicker than I had expected.

The 'Dummies" books don't work because they have a narrow view of user needs. The expert books fall short because they assume users know just as much as they do and make it hard to find answers to simple problems plus anything written about products what you first have to get past is the Snobbery. I bought and iPad air 2 and still wondering why!!!!!!

If one needs visual this is the book for you. I bought one for my 85 year old mother, she loved it so much I bought one for myself. We both love it

This is the best tutorial ever. Am a senior and trying to keep up with my family . The step by step method is so clear, it' just me that isn't sometimes!!! Thank you to Guy Hart-Davis for this book. It is excellent for all ages.

I purchased this excellent book for my wife who is getting an iPad 11 as a present,having browsed the book ahead of the purchase she is now even more keen to get the iPad.The book is so easy to follow with its combination of written and visual directions.An excellent purchase that I am sure will become a valuable asset when she gets her present.

My mistake with this book was all around my expectation of becoming more proficient with my pad after using it for a yer, this book is really focused on the brand new user who has no experaning. The iPad is so intuitive to use after using it for a few days most features are familiar. The book is well written with lodes of images so would have been fantastic for the first week or so. I did get some information form it but it is really focused on the brand new user.

bought the in easy steps to start with very nice but very very BASIC, the Teach Yourself is comprehensive a good bit expensive but suited fine for me, if your new this is recommended.
