You need more than you think!
I thought I had bought enough rope to do two ends of my washing line, but when I went to put it through the loops I could see that I did not have sufficient to properly tie off the ends. So if you are unsure of length err on the side of causation and get longer. Other than that it is perfect.

I have this line up between two washing line poles set in concrete, its nice and thick and pegs work on it nicely, it does sag a lot, a lot more than my steel cored one I replaced, but that makes it easier to hang washing and I use a prop in center so all good, I do like the fact this is a british made item. It has been up in all weathers with no sign of fraying or wear and the wax outer hasn't marked any clothing and its all good.

Not too good
Started to fray after the first day. Looks as is two pieces have been joined together.Should contact supplier and ask for a replacement.
