Rockschool Guitar Grade 5 (2012-2018)

Received this today. As usual with these graded Rockschool Guitar books everything was perfect. This is the 4th book I have bought for my son's guitar lessons over the past few years and each one has been comprehensive, clear and just what is needed to get him through the grade he's studying. This is the newer version that was brought out last year, so just be aware as the previous book is still in circulation - I'm not sure if there is any difference though? There is a digital download code inside the book which can be redeemed on the RSL website, and this gives you the backing tracks for the songs featured in the book. Would happily recommend this series of books if you or your child are taking the RSL grades for electric guitar - my son has passed all 4 with distinctions, so the books must be doing something right!!

The Rock School books offer great value. The 6 "hit tunes" and 6 rockshool originals are all have their own clear music sheets with both standard notation and guitar tab along with guides on amp set up. The online materials give you backing tracks (with or without guitar) to practice with.The current Grade 5 tunes are very varied in style and include songs by Clapton, AC/DC, Eminem and Beyonce.

All of rock schools graded books are excellent I started playing guitar and bought debut book from rockstar mastered this book and moved on to grade 1 and so on and so on now I am on grade 5 without any lessons from instructor I’m not a perfect guitarist by any means but each book seems to have lessons on techniques built into the pieces which help you progress in quite a structured way awesome books for anybody interested in learning music they also contain scales chords and arpeggios which you must not skip past Otherwise you will miss valuable lessons five stars excellent

never thought id see an eminem song in a guitar grade book but i reckon ghis is good for any intermediate player tbh its pretty simple i recommend
