My New Daily Commuters!
Have several pairs of Red Wing boots in this style and have always had an issue with the arch support being in a weird location for me making my foot sore and tired. Ordered these based on others reviews and comparisons to Red Wing 6 inch moc toe and these are far more comfortable. Got the peanut color which is a light whiskey color with burnished accents on the toe and heel. These boots are much lighter weight than my Red Wings and required no break in time; wore them straight out of the box on day one with no blisters or tenderness. They run true to size, spot on 8.5 for me, 39 Euro, and width was just right for a good boot sock, not too loose and just snug enough to feel supported. I live in NYC and these along with Doc Marten’s and my Blundstones are my daily commuters on my 40 minute walk to work. Honestly, I love Red Wing boots because I grew up in Minnesota and had my first pair at the age of three. But these are a third the price, fit better, look better, are wearing better and are better for my feet. I get asked all the time where I got the great boots, so I direct them to Amazon and tell them to Lumber Up. Hardly a “fashion boot” these will take it to the wilderness even if that adventure is an urban jungle. Delighted to write a positive review and for the money I’ve no hesitation recommending these as a great value boot.

Awesome Woman's Work Boots
These boots fit perfectly. And they are the most comfortable. The leather is beautiful and soft. I would definitely buy them again. But, I know I won't have to. They will last and last.

Not authentic, china made crap
I bought these to work in. I shoe horses for a living. I have back issues and can’t wear anything with a heel, the wedge sole of these looked perfect. I understand they say “fashion boots” but the description and image makes them look like they are made in Maine by a third generation family. They are made in china and feel/look like it. I also have to wear special insoles for my back. The insoles are glued down with the strength of the hulk, so they rip apart when you try to remove them and you can’t get all of it out. On the plus side, there is plenty of room in them for insoles and the toe box is nice and wide.

They may need breaking in.
These boots are very comfy and keepmy feet dry. I do alot of walking in wet grass. I've worn them to work for two weeks now. I wouldn't have given a 5 star review, with the exception of having to soak the ankle part of the boots in water to brake them in. After that they where great.

Eastland used to be a quality brand with a good reputation for fit. What happened?
Is Eastland now just another sell-out to lousy Chinese manufacturing? One has to wonder this when you take a look at this boot. I would guess that this boot is not even engineered for a human foot (well, maybe Frankenstein's foot). It shows no shape nor factors that would cause the boot to conform to a human foot in any way. Not any aspect of this boot resembles anything to do with foot-related engineering nor design. It is like a block-like cartoon boot that a small child drew on a piece of paper and someone went and made the shoe the child drew in China. You get the picture.

Took A Chance, Was NOT Disappointed
I grew up wearing the Red Wing Moc boot. It's so expensive now; while I was checking it out I saw the Eastland Women's Lumber Up Boot which is very similar and gave it a try. I honestly was expecting to return them; sometimes I'm an 8.5 and sometimes I'm a 9, even 9.5, but I read the reviews and took a chance on the 8.5. I have an FF foot (fat & flat); a Birkenstock Gizeh sandal in 39 fits my foot shape perfect. Tried the Eastlands on and they fit PERFECT! Even without the orthotics I usually have to put in my shoes: I still had room in the toe box. Very stiff when you get them, but that's usual with a solid work boot; you have to break them in. Wore them around the house with knee socks and they felt comfortable after just one hour. Love the navy color. Back in the day, there were two summer camp staples you would buy: work boots and Levi's jeans, the denim dark and stiff as a board. You'd put them on, jump in the lake, and then wear them until they dried. They'd mold to fit your body and became yours for life. It's the same with boots; you break them in, they'll mold to your foot and become uniquely yours. I'm very happy with these boots and can't to wear them outside...
