MTD Genuine Parts Wheel Weight Set - 100 lbs

Arrived perfect condition, fit perfectly. Not sure why MTD gets such a bad wrap. If you've competently researched your item, and can competently install it, this is the item to get. Helps me get up the hills better. These are stackable, so if you have two pair (4 total), you can add 1 to the inside of each wheel and 1 to the outside of each wheel, or you can install 2 each to each wheel, the instructions list both of those configs.For now, I'm using the pair alone so one on each wheel, and they work great. Would be easy to stack. No drilling, moderate lifting, didn't have to remove wheels or tires. I have a MTD 828 (Tradesman GT 2050)

These are awesome weights. They install easy and fit my cub cadet SLT1550 perfectly. My rear rims are 12 inches so I got the 100 lbs set. Note that the 62 lbs set only fits 8 inch rims and the 100 lbs set fits 12 or 15 inch rims ONLY. The holes that the rods go through are spaced ~8.5 inches. As for the performance, these are a game changer. My driveway is real steep and icy so when I plowed with just chains I was slipping like crazy going uphill. Now I can climb it without a single slip of the tire. Completely necessary!

Didn't use it, didn't fit my model, said it would but wasn't even close

The product seems fine. I ordered the 100lbs. set, which is two separate boxes with one wheel weight in one box.I have no doubt these will help with my traction issue when I'm cultivating and planting using my custom Husqvarna mower.My issue is Amazon. This seems to be getting worse.This is the 2 package in 1 month, the first order was a $500 order! They clearly didn't even ship box #1 because the tracking number they gave me showed only one box that was a 50lbs.Where was the other 50lbs box?Not only that but it was a week late by now.I called and got an Indian lady who lied and told me (as if this helped) she will be issuing me a $5 credit . . . and that the second box would arrive tomorrow, and that she was looking at the tracking number now.She was lying and I don't take that nicely.She was looking at the tracking number from a completely different order of mine and she knew it.It never came, so I called back and told them to refund me that full amount but had to settle for a completely new order. . . without any confirmation the order actually exist.I'm considering canceling PRIME, especially since I've figured out its almost always cheaper now to order direct from the manufacturer and most of the time faster shipping. . . . which was what Amazon used to be known for. Not Anymore.

I don't often write reviews, but in this instance I must relate how pleased I am with my purchase. I have tried for two years to find wheel weights to fit my John Deere S240 lawn tractor. The John Deere dealer said that there were no weights that would fit my mower, and various other sources told me the same. My problem WAS that the mower would lose traction on the hillside in my back yard, and tear up the sod. These weights not only solved my problem, but look as if they were made for my mower. Installation took about 45 minutes and could not have been easier, requiring only a 1/2" drill, 1/2" bit, and two socket wrenches. It's hard to believe that the addition of only 62 pounds to the rear wheels would make such a dramatic difference in the performance of my mower. I can operate anywhere on the hillside without spinning the rear wheels. I recommend these weights for anyone with a similar problem. As always, your mileage may vary, but they worked like an OEM product for my machine.

Box got beat up but the product was in excellent condition. It looks to be very well made. I only gave it a 3 star because it does not allow me to fill the tire with air when the weight is installed. They do make the area open so the fill valve fits perfectly in it... I just can't put air in it with the weight on... I won't return it, but it would be so much better if I could put air in the tire with the weight on.

These fit my craftsman yts 3000 without any drilling whatsoever. The added weight was huge. Tractor climbs hold it never could with these on. Also added tire ballast after to give another 100 pounds. 60 pound are for 8” wheels. One reviewer said you can double these up. I guess you could but it would look stupid. Part of the weight fits inside the rim so it is smaller then the outside portion they would stick out almost 12” if you doubled them up. They only stick out about two inches. Will be using to plow snow this winter. Any weight helps. Even if you are only cutting grass and have hills in your yard these things are a must.

Nice quality perfect fit for my Troy-Bilt super bronco.
